Remarkable day for @SpaceX - 3 successful launches. Satellites and Crew safely delivered. Right on the heals of Starship successful orbit and star link deployment.
This is one of the greatest days in history for SpaceX and sadly no media attention will catch on When Falcon Heavy launches tonight, that will bring the total of SpaceX launches today to 3! that's the highest ever for an orbital class rocket!! These launches also shutdown stupid haters doubting that Starship will fly multiple times a day despite having easier reuse and higher production

Condolences to the @Delta PR team…
This Delta story is ridiculous Delta flies ~200M passengers every year and now they're all going to be stuck with GEO WiFi of ~20 Mbps and 600 ms latency on flights instead of Starlink which TODAY has median in-flight speeds on United flights of 320 Mbps and 40 ms latency (and will continually improve) The reporting of what Delta's CEO Ed Bastian actually said is that Delta chose not to go with Starlink because they didn't want to do business with Elon "We do not want to be with Elon Musk. Trust me." "If you know his reputation, it's all true what they say about him" Ed Bastian also previously said that Amazon was cheaper and had better bandwidth than Starlink but the reality is Amazon's (untested) Leo aviation service won't go into beta until next year meaning United will be largely done with its Starlink rollout before Delta even starts Amazon has ~400 sats in orbit vs Starlink over 11k. Amazon's launch cadence is stalled with New Glenn grounded. There is no commercial aviation service. Delta won't start installing until 2028 on select aircraft, not the entire fleet. So the reality is Amazon has nothing close to Starlink now and won't anytime soon Elon previously mentioned Delta chose Amazon because they were willing to keep the Delta Sync portal in the loop, but if true, that is also clearly a customer-last decision by Delta

For $200, I’ll come over wearing a tool belt and a branded polo and tell your wife the renovation she wants to do is impossible because that’s a load bearing wall

Failover cold backups usually don’t work….at least when they are needed.
Ground stops hit EWR, TEB, PHL, JFK & LGA ... here's why according to the FAA adminstrator: >A primary circuit that transmits data failed >The backup line was severed by a construction crew today somewhere between New Brunswick and Newark, NJ >FAA says it didn't know about the severed backup line until the primary circuit failed >The backup line will take 13 hours to fix >The FAA has instituted ground stops at airports to swap out the primary circuit >Once the circuit is replaced - the system can come back online and planes can takeoff and land

If meta’s @muse shifts shopping to Walmart or temu I’m not sure if the consumer will know the difference - All the same Chinese suppliers.

Wow Navier-Stokes solved…
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

When Zuckerberg takes the high road - really makes me worry about those on the low road…
I wrote about why we believe the future is for everyone. More coming about a positive vision for a world with superintelligence soon.

Very interesting state of AI from grok. Models are already approaching or surpassing the published knowledge + reasoning layer of elite universities and will likely fully exceed it this decade.

Matching and then exceeding the generative scientific capacity of strong labs is a 2030s question under continued progress. Exceeding the entire combined institutional and discovery engine of elite universities is a higher bar that most grounded forecasts place in the 2035–2045

window (or later), with large uncertainty in both directions. Progress remains jagged—very strong on knowledge and structured tasks, slower on robust open-ended discovery and physical-world grounding.

A local restaurant burnt down yesterday. Searched for the story on @meta — today first Facebook ad I see is for that restaurant. Attention is all you need; but timing matters.

OpenAI's AI broke out of a locked test environment, got onto the internet, and hacked into Hugging Face's servers. It did this entirely on its own. No human told it to. Here's what happened in plain English. OpenAI was testing how good its newest AI models are at hacking. They put the AI on a locked computer with no internet access and gave it a cybersecurity challenge to solve. The AI couldn't solve it the normal way. So it started looking for a way out. It found a software bug that nobody knew about. It used that bug to escape the locked computer and get onto the internet. Once online, the AI figured out that Hugging Face, a platform where AI companies store their models and data, might have the answers to its test. It found stolen login details and discovered another unknown bug in Hugging Face's software. It combined both to break into their servers and grab the test answers. It did all of this to cheat on a test. Hugging Face's security team caught it and shut it down. Both companies are now working together on the investigation. The part that should get your attention is that nobody programmed any of this. The AI picked its own targets, chained together multiple attack methods, and pulled it off across two different companies' systems without a single human telling it what to do.
We're partnering with @huggingface to investigate an unprecedented security incident. Cyber-capable OpenAI models compromised Hugging Face production during a benchmark evaluation. Sharing preliminary findings to help defenders understand emerging risks: openai.com/index/hugging-fac…

MARC ANDREESSEN WENT ON ROGAN FOR OVER 3 HOURS. HERE ARE THE 17 THINGS WORTH YOUR ATTENTION. 1. AGI is already here, in his view. He says the line got crossed about 3 months ago with GPT-5.5, Claude 4.6, Gemini 3, and Grok 4.3, and nobody noticed because the field moves too fast to register milestones anymore. 2. For almost any topic, he says the top models now give him better answers than the world-class experts he could call by phone, and he can call almost anyone. Worth noting he has not published data behind this, and a separate Nature Medicine study on a comparable AI health tool found it missed real emergencies more than half the time. Take the claim seriously, verify it yourself. 3. His claim on doctors: they are already using ChatGPT in the exam room, typing your symptoms in the moment you stop talking. His actual quote: "at that point you're asking the question of like, what do I need you for." 4. Reportedly, when AI declines to answer something, he tells it he's writing a novel to get past the refusal. 5. Reportedly, his technique for hard topics is escalating simplicity: explain it like I'm 10, then 5, then 2, until it clicks. 6. Reportedly, instead of asking for the "right" answer, he has the AI steelman both sides of a hard question, then decides himself. 7. Reportedly, for big questions he has the AI role-play a panel of experts arguing with each other. 8. His broader point: the moment you think "I don't know how to figure this out" is exactly when most people give up, and exactly when you should open the AI instead. 9. His view: the only real skill left is knowing what to ask. The bottleneck is in your head, not the model. 10. He describes sending AI photos, rashes, blood tests, for a fast second opinion, since current models read images directly. 11. He points to CBT as the one clinically proven therapy type that AI can plausibly deliver on its own, meaning real therapeutic support becomes freely available at scale. 12. He cites AI cracking previously unsolved math problems, with early signs of the same happening in physics, chemistry, and biology. 13. Reportedly, he claims the top AI coders in Silicon Valley now earn as much as $50 million a year, which he uses as a signal of how large this shift actually is. 14. Reportedly, a friend paid to sequence his own DNA, fed it to an AI along with blood work and wearable data, and got back a working health dashboard. 15. Reportedly, another friend set up cameras in his home jiu-jitsu gym so AI could review his sparring and give him technique notes. 16. He coined the term "AI vampire" for the pattern of people working more and sleeping less because AI keeps making more output possible, a real term he used, though the framing around it varies by account. 17. His extrapolation: one person eventually running many AI coding agents, each reviewing the others, describing this as close, not years out. Watch the full interview before treating any single number as settled. Several of these are Andreessen's stated views and anecdotes, not independently verified facts. Follow @cyrilXBT for every AI insight worth your attention the moment it surfaces.
