I'm 27 years old and I quit my job 1 month ago. I was working as a IT & development manager for a small company here in Austin. Now I'm running my own business, and I'm trying to make it work so I can spend more time with my family. It's amazing that the threat of going homeless is less stressful than the stress of loosing my job. That was really unexpected for me. I've been hitting over $5,000/week since quitting my job, and it's been the best decision I've ever made besides marrying my wife and having my kids. I'm also recording everything I'm doing, and I'm going to make it public, so hopefully I can help other people who want to make the leap. If you want to see me fly or fail, follow me at @joepoole. We're going to do this!

Some things I'm using it for: Hyper key (Caps -> combo keys) Clipboard history (A MUST) Volume mixer (How does mac not have this natively?) AI agent tracker (AMAZING) AND it looks like a part of the notch. Seriously this app is fantastic

Best mac app i've seen in a LONG time. I don't think I'll need to reinstall alfred bc of Vorssaint All the little features you need in one app vorssaint.com/

I am making the most efficient shipping operation imaginable. Its very inefficient right now But I’ll tweak and experiment until we can have one guy fulfill 150 orders / hour

ChatGPT is undervalued. I just one-shotted a picking list adjuster to make fulfillment faster. In 10 minutes it made adjustments that will save hours per week in fulfilling.

These might look very similar, BUT LEFT ONE: Spotty on barcode scanning Easier to mix up carts Multi-page picking lists are hard to recognize RIGHT ONE; Barcode is bigger and very scannable Bolded cart letters for easier recognition Multi-page lists are clear

Got my snack box in today from @ShamsETubriz Wife said “oh I wanted the kids to try most of these anyways” So I’m on a slippery slope

Checking periodically that my trickle charger doesn’t burn the warehouse down

Made $1,014/hour in my livestream today It’s a good day today

Now that we’re buying returns by the truckload, we needed something to move Pallets around in our warehouse. But we don’t have enough space for a full on Forklift. So we got this on Facebook marketplace for $2000.

This guy @five2picker is doing a 12 hour stream on TikTok selling health and beauty. Been holding at 150-300 viewers all day. At some point sprayed his hair pink. Amazing to see, I think this will be a VERY successful experiment. Over 1,400 items sold so far!

KEEP GOING Our streamer ran most of our 3 hour show today, maintained us at $722/hour, and helped us get a $2k+ show

We got here and I started feeling a little… weird

Our new streamer ran the show almost fully by herself today, did about $450/hour GMV. That is what I was at 2 weeks ago. And this was harder stuff (smaller, needing bundling, etc.) I think with a few more tweaks and getting used to it she’ll be at $800+/hour.

Getting better and faster. 2 hour stream, just under $800/hour. Good half day today

This may be the best book for business operations ever made

Getting to 20k/month using live auctions did not take long, and we’re figuring out that sourcing and fulfilling are key attributes here

When we started out we’d be lucky to do $200 an hour during a stream. Yesterday we did $850 an hour. Learning and growing!

We tried selling this on a live auction 3 TIMES before someone one it for an incredibly cheap price. The gal who won it loved it so much she made a video about it. Different people with different needs!

Most live sellers don't have a streaming bottleneck, they have a fulfillment bottleneck. This is how we can ship 400+ orders a day from our Tiktok live auctions quickly.
