The refactoring of alien-signals 2.0 introduced performance regression, which was finally resolved in 3.0 after thorough investigation (now performing even better than 1.0).

The performance difference is imperceptible to end users. But if you have some understanding of the Signals implementation, you might agree that the code-level changes in 3.0 are quite interesting.
