Has the number of mass shootings, four or more shot, really declined, or just gone less reported? It's real. The Gun Violence Archive count fell, and so did mass killings and gun homicides in separate datasets. One bad year of reporting can't move all three. Those who track it call it the pandemic spike fading, not a fix.
