Lando seems to learn something finally. He refused to be a scapegoat and did the right thing by talking about this deficit in interviews. The cat is out of the bag so Stella had no choice but admitting it instead of acting like it was all the driver’s fault. Bravo.

lando is losing out to oscar in certain straightline sections, and mclaren is seeing a specific power deficit on his side that appears to be linked to fuel injection behaviour and happens intermittently.

like i get that lando has been doing miracles with mcl's cars for YEARS so they have high expectations but his car is literally falling apart since australia. despite the realibility issues, he delivered poles and wins. like there probably isn't more that he can do. i'm tired

when lando qualifies ahead/on pole it's all about "good news for development, we are going in the right direction" but when he qualifies even only one position behind his teammate, it's "he didn't maximise potential"
according to ted, andrea said lando left some performance on the table.

The telemetry and data literally back this up.
He isn’t saying McLaren are sabotaging him.
He has an actual car issue that he says the team need to work on and get on top of.
The way 81s jumped straight on him and automatically said he was lying and making stuff up with no proof or evidence of the contrary.
lando on mclaren's straightline speed deficit and why his car has it worse than oscar's:
"it is an area we just need to look at because we just look a step worse than mercedes in everything straightline related, so it is tough, especially with my car, which is worse than [piastri's]. so it is making our life very painful.
there are multiple issues, and there are more on my car for some reason than the other car, so we have to understand why. we need to take a big step in that direction if you want to be competitive on any straightline speed track for the rest of the season.
