🚨 OROY LONG SHOT: +3000 🚨
I’m taking a shot on [Coleman] +3000 for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Here’s the bet:
Start with the QBs. Only 2 rookie QBs went in Round 1, and neither is currently positioned to play meaningful snaps.
So I’m attacking the opportunity at RB/WR.
Coleman entered the year 3rd on Denver’s depth chart but earned praise in otas and preseason as a stand out performer and even was pulled after a series in a preseason he got the start because the coaches loved what they saw from him and didn’t want to risk him or think he needed to be out there.
Dobbins (made of glass his whole career) + RJ Harvey (not very good in the first place) both went down in Week 2.
Coleman’s response:
10 carries | 39 yards | TD
3 targets | 3 catches | 19 yards.
He also had another TD opportunity before going down to kill the clock which the coaching staff praised as “a veteran play”
The sneaky important part: pass protection.
Coaches have already praised Coleman’s ability there, and he was graded as the best pass-blocking RB in the draft.
That keeps him on the field potentially all 3 downs.
Denver should have plenty of positive game scripts this season, which means opportunities to salt games away and stack rushing production. He is a bowling ball at 225 lbs that scored 27 Tuddys his last two years in college. He showed time and time again he can be the goal line guy to rack up touchdowns.
At +3000, I’m willing to bet on the path.
Long way to go, but the opportunity is already starting to open up. 👀
