Miden guardian wallet is a really impressive and useful piece of technology. 1. It’s a private multisig 2. The guardian makes it easy to sync state of your private account across multiple devices. 3. If you lose your device, you can still recover your private account state from the guardian. 4. You can rotate the guardian signer at any time. The guardian is really a big step towards mass adoption (of non crypto native folks): private, compliant, recoverable private state. Ofc you don’t have to use the guardian if you don’t want to, you can use a private single sig account if you want, but the guardian is super convenient, and makes it hard for you to accidentally lose access to your account.

Been in lurker mode lately, feeding the algorithm a lot less than usual. It has noticed and is punishing me accordingly. The reason is boring in the best way: I'm heads down building with the @0xMiden team and having more fun than I've had in a long time. Meanwhile, privacy season opened. zcash is back in the group chat, bitcoin people are arguing about it again, and it feels like every other week someone announces a privacy layer, a privacy roadmap, or a privacy pivot with a fresh logo. My read on where this goes: the first wave of any narrative is everyone agreeing the thing matters. The second wave is where it gets decided, when people start asking which version they'd trust with real money, a real payroll, a real treasury. That second question is the one we've been building around. So we've stayed out of the takes and kept shipping. I won't spoil anything yet, but the next few weeks should start to feel a little different around Miden.

We co-designed Guardian alongside @0xMiden to solve private-state coordination and recovery without giving up custody. Great to see it behind Bread, a wallet where sending, swapping, and receiving stay off the public chain by default.

Very cool! We are doing something similar in Miden. The VM is already migrated to BLAKE3, and we'll have this released in the next few weeks. Interestingly enough, the performance degradation when moving off of Poseidon2 wasn't as dramatic as I thought. Overall, the impact was under 30%.

When I first started working on @joinbread you could just do a simple private send and even for that the receiver would have to manually import private notes. Now <2s proving on an iphone, seamless private sends, cross chain bridging, swaps and much more to come. @0xMiden coded
