Palmer has now withdrawn from England duty for the fourth time and the second time since Tuchel took charge, having made just three appearances under him.
Tuchel also suggested the latest withdrawal could hurt Palmer’s chances of returning to the England squad. Chelsea have not disclosed the nature of Palmer’s injury.
