Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Justin Block and I'm a 5th generation entrepreneur. My family started our first business in 1910. My great great grandfather started a food canning company, which was then sold in 1942. In 1948, my great grandfather co-founded Reddi-wip. In 1965, my grandfather started the first UHT dairy-plant in the country. We sold them both in 1978. A few years later in 1981, my grandfather started Darifair Foods (now Rubix Foods). Over the years, the business evolved into a food science company making flavor systems for some of the biggest restaurant chains in the country. I joined after college to help build and sell it. Due to my incredible family and our amazing team, we sold it in 2019 and again in 2025. Every generation had built a business, sold it, and started again. That was the only life I ever knew. I never considered doing anything else. But somewhere along the way I realized building companies wasn't the whole picture for me. I never liked school. I felt lost for a long time. The things that actually changed my life were books, mentors, and spending time by myself to get to know myself more. Now I'm running Block Ventures, my personal investment firm, venture studio, and media company. I start and invest in businesses across food and beverage, sports, tech, and education. I'm writing my first book. And our media arm is built around one thing: helping people become the best version of themselves. If my journey and 115 years of family business has taught me one thing, it's this: you don't need to be a billionaire to live well. You just need to know yourself early and go directly for what you want. I'm excited to continue sharing my learnings and for what's next. The journey is just getting started!

If you aren’t excited about what you do every day, you’re doing the wrong thing.

If all the answers were within us, most people would have amazing lives. Obviously, this is not the case. You need to learn from other people. You need other people tell you what you’re good and bad at. Learn from the smartest people before us to make your life better!

A lot of people are posting content. But very few are posting content that’s actually going to improve your life. Ignore the noise and be careful who you listen to.

The more I’ve climbed the mountain of “success”, the more I realize how one dimensional most entrepreneurs are. A lot of them are boring and only want to talk business. They have no hobbies because their life is mostly work. It makes me sad. I would not want to switch lives with them. Cmon man…we need to better!
