Thinking today about what happened in Israel on October 7, three years ago. Jews hunted-down, gang-raped, burned alive, beheaded. Babies and elderly alike. For no other reason than they were Jews. I keep being told Israel ‘over-reacted’. By fighting back against a war of extermination it didn’t start? As a Christian, who was formerly based in Jerusalem as a journalist, I always considered myself a friend of Israel. Now, having spent the last three years watching a wickedly contrived attempt to forget what really happened on October 7, and in spite of anything our Green Party says, I’m proud to call myself a Zionist.

Exactly Adam. Precisely. Kemi is saying all the things she knows will attract votes, KNOWING she will never pull them off in Government. The liberals on her back benches would literally stab her to death rather than let actual Conservative policies go through. NEVER AGAIN.
I used to be a Conservative voter until 2019… I’ll never vote for them again. The party lied to us so badly, it should have been criminal. Never again, please don’t buy this Kemi rhetoric. They are basically Lib Dem’s with a tough talking leader.

My thoughts almost exactly. I’d add in the forced removal of the owners and executives, and prosecute them for fraud.
Apparently Man City’s punishment could finally be announced this Friday. If it were up to me: — Strip every trophy from 2009–2026 — 80-point deduction, send them straight down — 40-point deduction when they crawl back up — Then 30, 30 and 20-point deductions over the following three seasons If the cheating was as serious as alleged, the punishment should be serious enough to make sure nobody ever tries it again.

"The three greatest managers the Premier League has ever seen. No FFP breaches. No oil-backed spending. No decade-long investigations hanging over their success. Just three serial winners who built great teams, collected trophies and did it all by the book." Hard to argue with this one… 👀👏

The punishment has to be big enough so fans don't think it was worth it, so question is what would make City fans wish none of this ever happened, the 4 in a row, the champions league, the Centurians, it has be something really bad for them to feel like all that wasn't worth it.

The journey of City fans denial & ignorance: - We're not state owned! - We're not guilty! - Ornstein leaks were just rumours! - The one not guilty charge was the worst one! - They can't punish us, or we'll punish them! - Interfering is good, the rules are bullshit! - We're not guilty, because we're appealing! It isn't even five stages of grief anymore. It is delusional, it is borderline insane behaviour what they use to cope & it has only been a week & a half since the verdict.

The main difference between the ownership at Manchester United & City - whilst both have done irrevocable damage to their clubs - is that United fans have held the Glazers accountable from day one & would do anything to get them out. Meanwhile City fans, lackeys desperate to remain relevant & to stay in the sun, would do anything for their sportswashing nation state to stay. Says it all. Pathetic.

A year ago, the Conservatives were polling at 17%. Today? Still 17%. After 14 years in power, voters haven't forgotten the damage they did to our country. And they won't. The next election is a clear fight between Labour and Reform.

Excellent.
‼️ City Are Guilty. Now Make the Punishment Fit the Crime I’ve written a lot about the Manchester City case over the years and people have often asked me the same question: What punishment would you impose if the findings survive appeal? Well, here it is. Finish this Premier League season, but impose a points deduction sufficient to guarantee relegation and, subject to acceptance, allow the EFL to place them wherever they see fit. Then: - No parachute payments. - 30 point deduction the following season. - 20 points the season after that. - 10 points the season after that. - Three years of severe transfer spending restrictions. - Strip the domestic honours directly affected, including those after the initial investigatory period, and leave them vacant. No retrospective champions. - Pay compensation where rival clubs can demonstrate genuine financial loss. And finally, any owners, directors or senior executives implicated in the wrongdoing (potentially: Sheikh Mansour, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Ferran Soriano, Danny Wilson, Claire Catlin, Txiki Begiristain etc.) should face the regulator’s suitability process and, where they fail it, be banned from English football. I don’t want Manchester City Football Club destroyed forever. City supporters, Liam Gallagher included, didn’t devise financial schemes or sit around boardroom tables constructing sham arrangements. I want the competitive advantage gained through years of rule breaking destroyed, and those responsible held accountable. One enormous points deduction followed by promotion and business as usual wouldn’t cut it. The consequences should follow City for years. Because if nine seasons of serious financial wrongdoing can ultimately be overcome with one bad season and a large cheque, what deterrent is there? Make the punishment hurt. Make it last. Make sure nobody ever considers doing it again.

But they’re Arabs, and can’t be seen to lose face.
Manchester City owners’ damaging strategy of appeal, deny and delay will inflict untold damage on countless people. It will inflict damage on this season’s Premier League which is effectively on hold with an unpunished City still involved. It inflicts further damage on the reputation of the world’s most popular sports league. It casts a cloud over the league for seasons to come, for as long as they drag the sport through the courts which they could do. City owners’ refusal to accept responsibility in the face of overwhelming evidence against them further hardens anger towards the club. The strategy inflicts further damage on a 146-year-old club whose reputation was made by the honest endeavour and thrilling football of that outstanding team of the late 60s and 70s. The actions of City’s current owners risk trashing a historic club’s reputation. Appeal, deny, delay inflicts further turmoil on the lives of their supporters. City fans’ innate defiance may waver when getting called cheat relentlessly. City fans didn’t cheat. Their club owners did with “sham contracts”, according to the findings of a long, forensic review by an independent commission. But it is City fans facing the consequences of their owners’ book-cookery – in the stands, on the streets, at work. A storm of scorn. Do City owners also not think of their head coach, Enzo Maresca, and how every press conference will be an inquisition? Every player interview? Every arrival at an away stadium? Do they not think of all the vital work done by City in the Community, the club’s charitable wing currently trying to celebrate 40 years of helping disadvantaged local people, and how their conduct impacts that? Appeal, deny, delay damages Abu Dhabi’s own reputation. Do they actually care about football? About pressure on innocent, hard-working staff? About integrity? City’s owners have done plenty of good in East Manchester but that work now seems tainted. Do they not care about the millions of people in this country who love football. Some may now, because of sham contracts and appeal, deny, delay, simply turn away from the national sport? Do the owners worry about the UAE’s image? The behaviour of City’s owners is now a diplomatic issue between the UK and the UAE. And good luck to our new ambassador to the UAE, Geraldine McCafferty, who took up the position last month and will need all her diplomatic skills acquired in Sarajevo, Bogota and Beijing. If they had a shred of responsibility, City owners would call off the lawyers, accept the independent commission’s findings, take the punishment and seek some settlement with the Premier League over compensation to other clubs. Appeal, deny, delay helps nobody.
