Dear beloved
@ritualnet team,
I’m here to raise my side as someone who has stayed loyal to Ritual and genuinely supported and used the product.
I don’t usually raise concerns, especially when i know it might not benefit me personally. But when it comes to the friends, contributors, builders, and OGs i’ve met and known in the Ritual community, I feel like this is something worth speaking up about.
As i understand it, the Ritual team is waiting for community feedback before releasing the official tokenomics on X.
So i want to raise a few questions about the tokenomics shared yesterday. Some people were happy with it, while others were disappointed.
"What was the basis for the 0.5% community allocation? Why is it this small?"
"What about the Genesis 1000 role holders?"
"How will the real contributors in the Ritual community be recognized?"
"What about the PloPlo NFT holders?"
These are some of the questions i keep hearing from people, and honestly, even I’m confused.
Sometimes i want to defend Ritual on this topic, but it’s hard when you look at it from the perspective of the people who stayed, contributed, supported, built, educated others, and believed in Ritual for a long time.
Of course, none of us were forced to contribute to Ritual. We chose to stay. We chose to work hard. We chose to support it.
But i also believe in the idea of giving something back to the people who stayed with you from the lowest point to the highest.
I’m not saying this because we are entitled to something in return.
My point is simple:
After months or even years of supporting Ritual, do we really think everyone should end up under the same 0.5% community allocation?
I joined Ritual in April 2025 because i genuinely believed in what the team was building.
I even invited some of my friends to join because i wanted more people to discover what I saw in Ritual. To me, it was never just another AI project trying to exist in Web3.
And honestly, I’m very thankful to Ritual.
I’ve said this many times, but if it wasn’t for Ritual, I probably wouldn’t have learned how to build, become a vibe coder, improve my communication, or learn how to stay loyal and genuinely support a project i believe in.
That’s an experience i'll always carry with me.
One thing that also disappointed me was seeing some predictions from top contributors create more negativity and FUD around the tokenomics.
I understand that everyone is allowed to share their opinion, especially early contributors.
But i personally hope that the people who have been here early can also help keep the community grounded instead of making people feel even worse about the situation.
So if i'm given the chance to share my own opinion as a real supporter and community member, this is what I would personally suggest.
I’ve been thinking about the 0.5% community allocation, and honestly, I think there’s room for Ritual to reconsider it.
I’m not saying the community needs a massive percentage.
Personally, I think 2–3% would be more meaningful.
That would be around 200M–300M RITUAL out of a 10B total supply.
Why 2–3%?
Because this isn’t really about giving the community more “free tokens.”
It’s about making sure the people who helped build, test, educate, moderate, create, and support the ecosystem early on have a meaningful stake in what comes next.
Depending on how many contributors qualify and how the allocation is distributed, some long term contributors could still receive very little despite spending months or even years contributing to Ritual.
I think 2–3% gives the team more room to properly reward those contributions without taking an unreasonable amount from the overall supply.
And i also think the Ritual could benefit from it in several ways.
1. Stronger post mainnet retention
If early contributors receive a meaningful allocation, they may have more reason to stay active after TGE instead of disappearing once the rewards are over.
That’s based on my own experience in Web3.
For Ritual, that could mean having a more durable contributor base after mainnet.
2. Better alignment
Someone who holds a meaningful amount of RITUAL and has already contributed to the ecosystem becomes more aligned with the long term success of the network.
Builders, contributors, node operators, early supporters, and others are no longer just reward recipients. They become stakeholders.
3. More organic ecosystem growth
Ritual doesn’t have to fund every part of growth itself.
A motivated community can continue creating dApps, building an agent, Frenrug users, Infernet node operators, contents, research, events, onboarding sessions, developer support, and more.
A stronger community allocation could help multiply that work.
4. Better decentralization
A wider distribution among real contributors means more tokens are held by people who are actually participating in the ecosystem.
That could help create broader community ownership instead of concentrating too much supply in a smaller number of groups.
5. Stronger reputation around community incentives
This matters for a network that wants developers and users to keep coming.
If people see that meaningful early contribution can eventually lead to meaningful ownership, future contributors may be more willing to spend their time building on Ritual.
Basically:
contributors → meaningful ownership → continued contribution → stronger ecosystem → more value for Ritual
And to everyone who still believes in Ritual, myself included:
Don’t blindly follow every prediction you see.
Do your own research. Look for the information yourself. Don’t rely on just one person to tell you what to think.
If they could do it, you can do it too.
And most importantly, wait for the official announcement.
Again, I’m not here to spread FUD.
I’m here to share my opinion as a real supporter and community member of Ritual. I believe we have the right to raise concerns and talk about what we think can be improved.
Thank you to the Ritual team.
I hope this reaches the right people and that the concerns from the community are heard before mainnet.
I’m still one of the people who believes Ritual can succeed.
I’ll be here until mainnet, building, learning, and continuing to support the project i chose to believe in.
