I've been f--king with JavaScript since '97
I definitely didn't expect it to end up everywhere, especially on the server in any serious capacity
But here we are. JS is everywhere. And now it has another advantage: LLMs know it *really* well
I love Rust. Tbh I love working with pretty much any language. But there's also something incredibly useful about having an "everything language" across the stack, ecosystem and now AI tooling too
I want to see JS/TS keep evolving. I want to see it succeed. And I think part of that means seriously exploring what static JavaScript looks like

JavaScript was never designed for the server. If that doesn't change soon, JavaScript on the server will be replaced by Rust.
The fix needs to happen in the engine. Sound types. Ahead-of-time compilation. Threads with shared objects.
