I was just thinking about this hours ago. The begging culture is alarming. Befriend someone today and in 24 hours you’ll get billed for rent, feeding, healthcare, and recharge cards. If you ask them “how are you?” You’ll get a story that leads to a money problem. Even the ones that come to pray for you in the DM return days later to ask for something the moment they see you responded to their greeting. If they sense that you are a nice person then you’ve opened a door of unlimited possibilities for them. Some people don’t know how to be friends devoid of begging. They don’t know how to enjoy a company without asking for something. It’s a bad habit.
