This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

Anna Yagi, 39, was found dead at the Naminoue Crystal Hotel in Naha, Okinawa, around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
⚫Police say she was killed between 2:10 a.m. and 4:17 a.m. A judicial autopsy found she was strangled.
⚫Security footage shows him entering the hotel with her and leaving alone with her wallet and backpack.
⚫He is assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. He was arrested in Okinawa City and remains in Japanese custody.
He is being held on suspicion of robbery-murder. In Japan, robbery causing death can bring death or life in prison.

Trying to improve at making paracord rosaries. I found a paracord material that’s easy to work with. The only problem is when I try burn the ends it tends to burn more areas then intended. I have to be extremely careful. It is a work in progress.

I think I have reached a point of wanting to disconnect from modern western mainstream entertainment and just focus on spiritual improvement. I know I have said this in the past but in truth I always had a glimmer of hope burning in me that things would change. At times I did see some possibility that it could happen but it always got sabotaged. You get one decent product and then several crappy ones .
The whole thing needs to burn down and be rebuilt by the right people in order for me to give it a chance. The “creatives”, I say that sarcastically, are so hung up on their propaganda and political cult talking points they abandoned any possibility for good storytelling. Even people I use to look up to in the industry have allowed themselves to get swallowed up in the idiocracy.
I don’t care about Marvel, DC, Star Wars, LOTR, etc anymore because they destroyed it. Even when I watch the older movies I can’t help but think of what it leads to. It’s sad!
I even look at how they are adapting classic literature like Sense and Sensibility and Treasure Island. It’s a bastardized version of the stories people loved. Just adapt the stories and characters people want. They can’t. They look at everything like “How can I make this about my political mission or my deranged sexual tendencies“.
I have read about how communist regimes in the past used films to alter the perception of a hero in order to make citizens conform to the government’s policies and agendas. This feels like that is exactly what is happening. You can’t convince me 90% of Hollywood is on board with these ideals. It is self preservation for what’s to come.
