Marathon is the best game of the year

I was doing maintenance on my older PC: M3A78-EMH HDMI Phenom X4 9750 8GB RAM 800mhz R9 380 NEC FE990 Decided to install vintage Diablo 2 Used Glide wrapper Used 3D sound wrapper Set up speakers just right Monitor locked in at 800x600 125hz Calibrated perfectly. Now, I'm wondering why I've bothered to play anything else the last 25 years, how in the world is this game still constructed out of digital crack? My dad would have been thrilled with this performance... we played Diablo2 online together a lot before he passed.

I feel like I should have pulsed the meat more, even the full 15 pulses, it left a few random chunks of meat in the loaf. Total time is supposed to be 3 1/2 hours but it actually took me 5 hours because I'm slow and because you're supposed to form the loaf and then refrigerate it for an hour before baking. If you want this for dinner, start prep at noon, not 3pm. Is it worth all the effort? Absolutely 💯 I may cut the total mushrooms in half and put the carrot back in, because pre-roasting the vegetables is genius and it's a little too umami. I'd also cut all the veggies even larger chunks to keep them from drying out. I think my roasting pan is too big for this job. Looking forward to leftovers for sandwiches tonight.

What's amazing here is that Castle Of Illusion was a very early and very good Mega Drive game that made a case for jumping from NES very well. If this had been a sequel on SNES at the time, it would have been GOTY material. I couldn't imagine the ROM size and price though... not to mention the asset production labor.
