Zwammerdam vandaag. De ruines van zorginstelling de Hooge Burgh liggen bovenop de resten van het Romeinse castellum Nigrum Pullum (1e eeuw na Chr.). Hier werden in 1971 ook de Zwammerdamschepen van het Archeon gevonden. En bovenal, hier woonde ooit de Jostiband!

Here is the Tiger I restored by the Musée des Blindés de Saumur 🇫🇷, shown in the 1945 livery & markings it wore when it was pressed back into French service by the Free French Forces against the German pocket of Saint-Nazaire, following its abandonment in Normandy.
It is one of only two operational Tiger tanks in the world, the other being the Tiger I preserved at The Tank Museum in Bovington 🇬🇧.
The Tiger I tank, fully restored by the Musée des Blindés de Saumur with its original powertrain, has finally been reunited with its turret & 88 mm gun. The final stages now involve installing the remaining equipment and painting the entire vehicle, followed by the first mobility tests in its complete configuration. #ww2 #tank
