A lot of hospitals will just go ahead and authorize the procedure when it’s urgent like this, and try to recoup the payment later on appeal. The hospital is being evil here as well tbh

As someone who has their insurance with UnitedHealth, this is concerning. I fear if I develop a serious illness, there’s a good chance UnitedHealth will deny me necessary treatment.

Hey @UHC I’m unsure why you follow me, and I understand @askUHC might be the right people to ask, but please please please help them. I don’t need flying cars, do need affordable health care for all, and for insurance companies in the meantime do their job.
