My 95 year old grandmother is going into hospice care today. This wonderful Irish woman married my Italian grandfather, & together, they brought 12 children into the world, creating a family with more than 100 members. She's the center of my family. It's going to be really tough to lose her. She's ready to go Home.

I picked up my half cow today (1/4 shown). I'll be set for beef for a year. The tallow in the boxes will be rendered down to be used for lotion, soap, lip balm, & cooking oil. Buying from local farmers works out better for everyone.

My local schools caused a lot of disturbance today with an ICE protest. The police department needs to stop catering to these people. Charge the parents & school administrators who allowed them to leave campus.

I'm done wrapping. This is all the gifts I have for my entire family, including my own kid. I kept it simple this year. My kid gets 2.5 gifts & an awesome stocking. Each niece/ nephew gets 1 gift, except none for the baby. I'm handing out 50s for the adults.

I'm listening to my mom lecture my kid about doing gross chores. My kid is complaining that this chore makes her physically sick. The exact quote from my mom was, "if you have to go vomit, you go do that & then go right back to doing what you need to do." Tough love!
