It’s actually infuriating that we have to deal with Jimin and Taehyung having threats made against their lives every other week or constantly see them receive an onslaught of unwarranted, vile, borderline psychotic hate and harassment online over things that aren’t even in their control or their fault. Sometimes people get annoyed when you bring Taehyung up when Jimin is receiving hate or vice versa but the hate they both receive in the name of shipping is not something that can really be discussed separately because at the end of the day, it’s the SAME thing— there are constant narratives being spread about both of them “feeding” into shippers, nonstop allegations of them apparently trying to interfere with relationships they have nothing to do with or this idea that they intentionally do things to get each other hated on. These made up narratives are the reason for 95% of the hate both of them receive online. People aren’t hating on them per se, they’re hating on the idea they have of them in their head and the incessant need some people have to protect relationships that they’ve completely made up. And that’s the annoying part because NONE of this is their fault. It’s moreso about this never ending fight between taekookers and jikookers and the claim they want to have on Jungkook. But it’s not vmin’s fault they’re friends with JK and he loves both of them dearly, it’s not their fault that there are crazy people who think either of them are dating him and that they’re both somehow interfering with each other’s relationship with him, it’s not their fault that their interactions with him can’t ever be viewed the way it would be if it was any other member. It’s so sad and aggravating that they can’t do or say anything without receiving hate. And it’s even worse that there seems to be no end in sight to this madness.
