It’s true
MSNBC contributor reluctantly admits 𝕏 Community Notes actually works, even though it physically pains her to say so. Rolling Stone called @ElonMusk and 𝕏 "the biggest purveyors of online misinformation." Now liberals like Molly Jong-Fast are admitting that false information and missing context get kept in check "pretty well" by Community Notes. MAHER: "In this current atmosphere we live in, I never believe anything I read just from that one thing I read." JONG-FAST: "X has community notes, and I think community notes — I don't want to compliment X here, but community notes works pretty well." MAHER: "Well, then compliment them. Why can't you?" JONG-FAST: "I'm doing it! I'm doing it. Yes, I'm doing it, but I don't want to."

Two files, same November 2025 public download of the Mediators Foundation Better Together America / Healthy Democracy hubs map project: The worksheet is the data. It lists Community Notes as an organization: “Twitter (X) fact check feature,” with a link to the Wikipedia Community Notes page. The Kumu map is the picture of that data. Its Tech hub puts Community Notes next to John Gable (AllSides CEO), Eli Pariser, Polis, Decidim, Citizens[.]is, and the Center for Humane Technology. X publishes the Community Notes algorithm as open source and releases the notes and ratings datasets. Anyone can inspect how notes are scored, and any eligible contributor can write or rate notes. Neither file proves those people steer Notes. Both show this network filed Community Notes in its Tech stack.
