AMERICAN IDOL TRIAL:
Alleigha Botner has spent hours this morning reading messages between herself and American Idol alum Caleb Flynn, who is accused of murdering his wife, Ashley Flynn.
The alleged mistress began testifying for the prosecution on Wednesday, where she first began to read the private messages. Her testimony picked back up where it left off on Thursday morning. As she read the private messages, people in the gallery looked visibly uncomfortable, while Botner looked exhausted.
Throughout the year of 2025, Botner and Flynn continuously spoke about him leaving his wife, and Flynn often expressed jealously about Botner and her relationships with other church members. These were some messages read:
Flynn: If I could literally kill her and not go to hell, I would do it in a heartbeat. That’s how dark and hateful I feel.
Flynn: You know I hate her and her everliving guts.
Flynn: I wish we didn’t have to live this horrendous life.
Her: The pain is not
Flynn: I know, it’s horrendous. That’s why I constantly tell you I hate her, loath her, I want her dead
Botner: And imagine how much you’d explode after day, yet I’m still here. I’ve never said I’m done for good no matter how frustrated I’ve been.
Botner: I need you
Flynn: Please hire someone to take douche out. I need you in my life. I need you.
Botner (takes deep breath): So tempting I can’t live without you and I’ve had this thought so often lately how do we figure this out?
Botner: I genuinely can’t picture my future anyway
Botner: It makes me sick imagining it with anyone else
Flynn: Gosh I love you
Botner: I don’t want to say this in a joking way anymore. We need a solution, Caleb. We need it to be me and you forever and no exceptions.
Flynn: I’ve never joked about it
Flynn: I love you baby, I love you so much
Botner: I love you sweetie pie, honey bunch
Flynn: Talking about douche is so different. As I said, I hate her and she has ruined and taken everything from me and so I do not want to talk about her. You know I hate her. I can’t even stand the sight of her or the mention of her. I’m sorry but you did push last night for me to talk about her. Sorry I wasn’t able to, it all spiraled from there. And you about putting your arm around guys. Geez. Anyway, I’m sorry.
