Destructuring is very powerful, but don't overdo it. Mixing styles and destructuring multiple levels at once will make your code hard to read. What are your tips for keeping your Clojure code easy to follow?

This is what swap! looks like under the hood. It uses compareAndSwap to prevent race conditions. If the compareAndSwap fails because an other thread has updated the atom in the meantime, then it retries.

Clojure has several ways to look up a key in a map or set, and they all have their place!
#clojure How to lookup? - use (key coll) with the purpose of simple destructing - use (coll key) when the context is branch semantic - use (get coll key) with the purpose of making semantics obvious, especially when both coll and key are variables from @plexus @lambdaisland

#clojure tip -> Sometimes you want to return a form and still print, inspect, or play around with it. Instead of unnecesarily wrapping around a let, you can use a `doto`. (doto x & forms) -> evals x, then evals each form with x, returns x
