Franco knows that the only way he can stay relevant is clinging on to this, because he knows he doesn’t possess enough talent on track to stay relevant. and the desperation to which he’s pushing this only means that Lando’s comment was right and he knows it.
the difference between franco and lando’s comments today says a lot. only one of them has taken accountability and it’s not the person who’s responsible for this mess.
lando on sharing his apology to franco on social media:
"i said what i wanted to franco and he's the only one that i need to share my apology with. i don't feel like i need to use social media to do such a thing, but at the same time there was a lot of noise in the background and i thought it was only sensible to show that i made an apology and i accept that i was in the wrong"
lando norris DOES NOT speak for me i DONT LIKE franco colapinto he is NOT my friend we DONT get along i DONT forgive him i think he is STUPID AS FUCK and he SHOULD NOT be in formula 1 ❤️ thanks
anyways, Lando is a world champion who will continue to have success because he possesses talent, whereas Franco will likely find himself seatless soon so he can run his mouth off, but only one person will get the final laugh.
don’t let all this make you forget that this started because Franco’s lack of driving skills and a brain caused him to take out two other drivers and destroy a freshly upgraded car. he never was and never will be the victim in this situation
Just realised that Franco is comparing himself to Kimi who directly went to the RB hospitality to apologise to Max meanwhile the only time he even thought to include Lando in his apologies was in the media pen when journalists had to bring Norris up lmao😭🤣
Franco Colapinto says he understands Lando Norris’s Baku comments were made in the heat of the moment, but believes the online reaction highlights the need for drivers to be careful with what they say:

death threats aren’t “passionate fans”. hundreds of thousands of hate comments isn’t passion. yes, every fanbase has wack ass fans, but I never see it get so bad as it does when this particular fanbase is involved.
franco on social media abuse: "i think we talk the same every weekend and it's something [abuse] that has been there for a long time. of course there are times when it's worse than others. as drivers we have the responsibility to make it better."
"so yeah i think we keep working all together to try and improve it. it's tricky, i think it comes from every fan base or every driver... some are worse than others because they are more passionate than others. it's something tricky to control from our side."

yeah he’s no better than his deranged fans. Lando’s 100x times the person and 100x times the driver this bum will ever be. enjoy unemployment when Flávio decides to get rid of you. you won’t be missed.

this sport is about 8 years past the need for Lance Stroll. what’s the point in encouraging young drivers to work hard to get in F1 when seats are being taken up by less than average drivers.
irritating that that the only public statement from a driver has come from lando and not from the driver who got an apology, caused the crash, and whose fans caused all this. and the only one from a team has been alpine and not the one whose driver is receiving the abuse.
It’s genuinely crazy how far this has spiraled to make Franco the victim.
Briatore is letting the abuse, hate, and harassment sent by Franco’s fans go without any issue apparently. Lando is forced to publicly apologize and Im sure he’ll still be crucified by fans forever for it
Cooler heads have prevailed, and it's business as usual at Alpine for the weekend in Malaysia.
No standing down of Colapinto by Briatore, and it'll be him and Pierre Gasly as normal. #F1#MalaysianGP

We already knew this. On September 26, Infobae consulted an Alpine source regarding potential actions by Briatore. They clarified that the claims by the specialized outlet 'The Race' are 'mere speculation' and emphasized they had 'nothing to add to Flavio's quote.'

so lando did apologize to franco after the race. i wonder why he said nothing to stop his fans from harassing lando knowing how exactly well how his fans will react when he got criticized
