If you wanna use a book as an analogy of his career… The only parts of chapters 1-9 Leafs fans have read are the last page, and have taken it out of context, ignoring the remainder of the chapters in their entirety.
You can’t rewrite history just cuz you don’t like the result.
We are on chapter 10 of Mitch Marner's career and it seems that the only folks to have read the first 9 chapters are Toronto fans.
Everyone else opened the book, flipped straight to chapter 10 and have no idea why the main character has a reputation of being a petulant no-show.
