ALT Simon Says, Let's Talk is a free, not-for-profit creative health series supporting men's mental health through honest conversations with well-known men from comedy, music, sport, politics and public life. Hosted by GP and MP Dr Simon Opher MBE, the series explores the pressures men often face but can struggle to express — loneliness, finance worries, grief, relationships, identity, fatherhood, shame, burnout, body image, alcohol, gambling, the manosphere, and the pressure to "man up." Honest, funny, and hopeful on men's mental health, Andy Burnham and Lu Jackson (Founder of Craic Health) open the series with Simon to launch the world's first "Podcast-on-Prescription"... and Lu makes the Mayor of Manchester answer the big one: who's funnier, Liam or Noel? 10 Downing Street is hosting its first ever hackathon.
The two-day hackathon will bring technologists from outside government together with civil servants to work on real problems facing the state.
Anyone is open to apply, although spots will be limited.
They're releasing information on the key tracks later this week, although it's going they are going to be focused on solving real problems that civil servants and the government face today.
The strongest teams will present their work to the Cabinet Secretary (@AntoniaRomeoUK) and other government leaders in No10.
This is a real opportunity for people with a tech background to an impact within government.
WE LOVE TO SEE IT.
Technology presents such a huge opportunity to improve public services, and it's amazing to see the government embrace this opportunity.
