🇺🇸 BREAKING: TRUMP JUST ENDORSED MIKE LINDELL FOR MINNESOTA GOVERNOR!
The Pillow Man is officially Trump country's pick to take back Minnesota.
President Trump gave Mike Lindell his complete and total endorsement on Wednesday, calling him "one of America's greatest and most hard working Patriots." He did not hold back on the praise, writing that Lindell "truly loves Minnesota, as do I, and wants to bring it back from oblivion and embarrassment." Trump closed with a promise. "He will MAKE MINNESOTA GREAT AGAIN."
Here is what people need to understand about Lindell before they judge him. This is a man who built MyPillow from nothing after overcoming a crack cocaine addiction, using his own story of redemption to build a business empire in his home state. He became one of Trump's most loyal allies starting in 2016, warming up crowds at dozens of rallies and co-chairing Trump's campaign in Minnesota.
He has also paid a real price for standing by Trump. Lindell faced a billion dollar defamation lawsuit tied to his fight over the 2020 election, a case that has since been dropped. Stores dropped his products. The media mocked him relentlessly. He never backed down.
Now he is the frontrunner in a three way Republican primary against House Speaker Lisa Demuth and businessman Kendall Qualls, with voting already underway ahead of the August 11 primary. Polling before the endorsement already showed Lindell with real strength among the working class voters who built Trump's coalition in Minnesota. With Trump's backing now added, that lead is expected to widen significantly.
The timing matters too. Governor Tim Walz dropped his bid for a third term back in January amid a fraud scandal engulfing his administration. Senator Amy Klobuchar stepped into the race soon after and is expected to be the Democrat standing in the way come November.
Here is the honest reality. Minnesota has not elected a Republican governor since 2006. This will be a real fight. But Lindell is running directly on the fraud and election integrity issues that just forced a sitting governor out of the race, and he has the full weight of Trump's coalition behind him heading into it.
Minnesota Republicans have not had a candidate with this kind of national energy in a generation. Now they get to see what that energy can do.
