“AI just predicts the next word” is technically true in the same way that “a compiler just turns text into machine code” is technically true.

This is where AI becomes genuinely valuable, not just generating code, but taking care of real business tasks and saving both time and money.

Fair point. But if a model requires people to overhaul prompts and workflows to get back to previous performance, that change is part of the user experience.
