Cardano's Liquid Staking Standard

Pinned Tweet
Cardano is famous for its native liquid staking of $ADA But most staked CNTs are locked and can't be traded, lent or used in DeFi, until now: We integrated with 10+ top protocols to launch LAVA, Cardano's 1st Liquid Staking Standard 🧵👇

Born too late to explore the world Born too early to explore the stars But born just in time to explore cardano defi while keeping my ADA staked

Your ADA is already earning staking rewards. What would you need to know before moving some of it into L-ADA? Mainnet is getting close. Good time to get into the details.

9 years. Happy birthday Cardano 🎂 Feels like a pretty good time to be building.
Nine years ago, Cardano's first block was minted. Since then: 2,890 stake pools. 13,978,119 blocks. 123,982,111 transactions. A constitution, ratified on-chain. 36,322 votes on 158 governance actions. And a vibrant community behind all of it. Here's to many more years. 🎂

Plenty of coins. Now give them deeper markets. L-ADA gives ADA staking exposure somewhere to go across DeFi. Where are you putting yours first?

46.4 DeFi primitives 👀 Its about time we bumped those numbers up. Cardano needs deeper lending, better liquidity infrastructure and more reusable DeFi primitives. L-ADA gives those markets something new to build around, staked ADA that can actually move through DeFi.

By area, Cardano scored: - Chain access and data: 61.5 - Builder platform: 69.1 - User and asset rails: 51.5 - DeFi primitives: 46.4 - Program enablers: 36.9 Cardano is strongest where builders work. The gap widens in DeFi primitives - the layer capital moves through.

what sits under L-ADA? underlying staked ADA. beneath the surface, ADA sits in the backing layer. orders are created, processed by the batcher, and moved into the protocol pool. from there, L-ADA is what rises out and moves through lending, LPs and yield. the staking stays underneath. L-ADA is the part that moves.

Cardano staking is already liquid. Your ADA stays spendable while delegated. The missing piece is composability. L-ADA keeps the staking exposure underneath and gives that position somewhere to go across DeFi. Same staking exposure. More places to use it.

Just keep staking.

L-ADA works with @atrium_lab from day one. The ADA underneath is delegated to their pools, keeps staking, and the rewards go into the rate.

ever wonder why it's called lava because it flows
Ever wondered why it's called Cardano? Cardano is named after Gerolamo Cardano (1501–1576), the Italian mathematician & polymath who pioneered early cryptography. A fitting tribute for a blockchain built on peer-reviewed research, math, and science.
