Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 Marks Five Years of Crypto Stamps with a Limited Anniversary Edition
Philately Liechtenstein has released a special edition to mark the fifth anniversary of its Crypto Stamp programme. The issue draws on the principality’s early postal history while remaining part of its blockchain-linked stamp series.
The design is based on Liechtenstein’s historic 5 Heller stamp, which showed the sovereignty of the principality. The 5 Heller denomination was chosen both as a nod to those first stamps and as a reference to the five-year milestone.
The edition is limited to 800 copies worldwide and comes in a premium collector’s box. Four colour variants of the prince’s hat appear on the stamps: blue (440 copies), red (250), gold (100) and rainbow (10).
The stamps were released on 24 September. Philately Liechtenstein describes the issue as a meeting point between the country’s philatelic tradition and its more recent work with crypto stamps.

Four European Posts 🇦🇹 🇳🇱 🇧🇪 🇵🇹 Release New Mythology Crypto Stamps 💥
Austrian Post and three partner postal operators have issued a new joint crypto stamp series today, 24 September 2026. The theme continues the Heroes of Mythology cycle and brings together designs from Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal. Sales and activation are handled through the Crypto stamp programme at cryptostamp.com
Each issue is a valid postage stamp paired with a digital twin on the blockchain. The physical designs differ by country. The digital twins appear in five colours, revealed only after activation: black - the most common, green, blue, yellow and red - the rarest.
Austria is releasing two motifs, Perseus and Eos. The Netherlands has issued Demeter, the goddess of harvest, now shown with her horse. Belgium’s stamp features Hercules with the horse Areion. Portugal’s contribution is Hades. Luxembourg is not taking part in this year’s joint release.
The four-country launch is presented as one collecting set built around figures from Greek myth. The stamps may be used for postage or kept as collectibles. After activation on cryptostamp.com, the digital twins can be stored in a crypto wallet.
The issue continues Austrian Post’s Crypto stamp project, launched in 2019 and later extended through international partnerships.

Congratulations, Jacek 👏 We know how much work you put into presenting such an exhibition in Poland for the first time!
Successfully delivering a major project on the first attempt always brings enormous satisfaction. It is effort and hardship - rewarded with applause. You are writing history.
We educate collectors and share knowledge from around the world. Sometimes it is an exhibition, sometimes an online catalogue, an article, a brochure, or the first book promoting this knowledge - along with chronicles of official and community issues. Because it is communities that support issuers. They create collector culture.
It is worth supporting initiatives that help the field grow and educate.

VIII Spotkanie Społeczności Polskiego Kryptoznaczka, odbywające się 18–20 września w Collegium Historicum UAM podczas IV Mistrzostw Polski w Filatelistyce Tematycznej, było okazją do spotkań, rozmów i dzielenia się kolekcjonerską wiedzą.
📮 Zaprezentowano projekt nowego polskiego kryptoznaczka! Jako Polski Związek Kryptofilatelistów i część społeczności kryptofilatelistycznej cieszymy się z przygotowań do kolejnego wydania i z niecierpliwością wypatrujemy premiery.
Ogromną radość sprawiła nam obecność tak wielu naszych członków i ich zaangażowanie. Mamy komu dziękować i gratulować! 👏

Kraków 🇵🇱 has been collecting “firsts” for a thousand years.
For centuries the city gathered institutions, inventions and practices that were first in Poland - and sometimes first in Europe.
A short list from the last millennium:
1364 - The Kraków Academy (today the Jagiellonian University) is founded. Poland’s first university and the second in Central Europe after Prague (1348)
1406 - The university establishes independent chairs of mathematics and astronomy, widely cited as the first of their kind in Europe
1473 - Kasper Straube prints the Almanach Cracoviense ad annum 1474, the first known printed work on Polish soil - ahead of printing in England (Caxton’s Westminster press, 1476)
1489 - Conrad Celtes founds Sodalitas Litteraria Vistulana, Poland’s first literary society
1879 - The National Museum in Kraków opens in the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice): the first national museum on Polish lands under the partitions
1893 - The Philatelic Club is founded in Kraków on 6 January: the first Polish philatelic organization
1978 - Kraków’s Historic Centre and the Wieliczka Salt Mine become the first Polish sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List - in the very first global inscription round
2026 - Kraków adds another first: Sebastian Kwaśny’s book on digital philately and cryptophilately, presented as the world’s first dedicated volume on the subject in the Web3 era 📙📘📕📚💥

Collectors of digital philately and crypto stamps in several countries also gather at occasional meet-ups to share knowledge, build local communities, and develop their collections through the exchange of information and resources.
One of the first such communities, built around Austrian crypto stamps, is a group of collecting enthusiasts that has met fairly regularly since 2019 in various cities - notably Linz, St. Pölten, and Passau - and in Vienna organises meetings under the name CS Stammtisch, as an extension of the Austrian community's Crypto Stamp meetup concept. These gatherings are also an occasion for the issue of special commemorative digital #NFTs, which participants have been collecting for years. This is not the only group worldwide issuing special commemorative editions; similar initiatives take place in Poland, where reunions and meetings are typically accompanied by commemorative cards or publications.
This month only, the following meetings will take place:
- the Polish community meets in Poznań on 18–20 September 2026;
- the Austrian community meets in Vienna on 25 September 2026.
