Matthew Knies says there will be no friends on the ice when he faces the Maple Leafs for the first time, but admits he’s looking forward to chatting with the guys after not seeing most of them since he was traded just before the season started 🙂
“I’ve never experienced something like this, looking across and seeing a lot of familiar faces. But I think a lot of guys will tell you, there are no friends on the ice until after.
Hopefully, I get to chat with some of the guys and wish them well. I didn’t get to talk to many of them with how abruptly everything happened, so I’m excited to see the guys I didn’t get to call or talk to and wish them well.”
