Since we're sharing Ovechkin memories, here's my favorite. Ovechkin was already a legend in 2019 and a future HOFer and people knew the career goals record was on the table.
He's not a fighter at all. He hadn't fought since 2010. Then this insolent ROOKIE starts slashing him and drops the gloves.
Ovechkin honestly looks BAFFLED. (i) Who is this kid? (ii) Why is he trying to fight me? (iii) Does he not know who I am?
Ovechkin knocked him the f*ck out. He missed the next four games.

I love Tavares but he's 36 years old. This was gonna happen eventually, impressive he's been viable for this long.
There is zero point to having an absolutely loaded top 6 if the play keeps dying on one guys' stick. He can't keep up with 88/92 or on PP1.
Time for a change.
Loafs got absolutely cooked by Ottawa in the third period, following that PP where they had 10 posts or whatever.
Just nasty stuff. Tavares' role needs to be significantly reduced and I would like a D to be able to move the puck.
