🇺🇸 THE US STILL HAS SOME OF THE CHEAPEST GAS IN THE WORLD. ITS DIESEL NOW COSTS MORE THAN THE WORLD AVERAGE GlobalPetrolPrices data for 21 September, in US dollars per gallon. Gas costs $4.81 in the US, against $8.69 in the UK, $9.88 in Germany, $10.51 in the Netherlands, $11.88 in Norway and $16.71 in Hong Kong. The US ranks 44th cheapest of 170 countries, well under the world average of $6.02. Diesel is different. US diesel is $6.53, which ranks 102nd of 169 and sits above the world average of $6.28. China pays $4.50, South Korea $5.30, Mexico $5.87, India $3.89 and Japan $3.83. In Japan diesel is cheaper than gas. In the US it costs 36% more. AAA has the US diesel average at $6.50 today, up from $3.69 a year ago. Regular gas is $4.49, up from $3.16. Drivers see the gas price. Diesel is what trucks, farm machinery and freight trains run on, so it feeds into the price of nearly everything else. That's the fuel that has risen furthest this year, and it's where the US has lost its price advantage.

🇺🇸 JAPAN AND CHINA HAVE CUT $148 BILLION OF US DEBT SINCE DECEMBER. LONDON PICKED UP $135 BILLION OF IT. Japan's holdings fell from $1,185B to $1,104B, China's from $684B to $618B, and the "United Kingdom" line rose from $863B to $998B. Britain did not get rich this year. The UK line is widely read as custody for hedge funds running leveraged bond trades out of London. Yesterday showed what that swap costs. The $70 billion 5-year auction cleared at 5.033%, the highest yield since 2006, with a 3.1bp tail against a six-auction average of 0.6. Indirect bidders, the bucket where foreign central banks sit, took 54.3%, their lowest share since March 2020. Dealers were left holding roughly $11 billion nobody wanted. On the same day Japan's 10-year hit 3.055%, its highest since 1996. Japanese pensions and insurers are now paid properly to stay home, so America's biggest foreign creditor has no reason to come back. The last time foreign demand looked this thin was March 2020, when leveraged Treasury trades unwound in days and the Fed had to buy the market to stop it seizing up. The creditor base is shifting from patient central banks to borrowed money that sells on a margin call, and the interest bill has just crossed $1 trillion for the year. When that money runs, the only buyer left is the Fed, and it pays with dollars it creates out of nothing.

Everyone expected Bitcoin to crash after the Fed hike. Instead, it just posted its best week in 10 months. What if the Fed's move was a mistake, and the bear market quietly ended while no one was looking? The signals are undeniable.

🇺🇸 THE US PROFITS FROM EVERY CURRENT WAR: Congress sent about $175bn to Ukraine. A big chunk went to American factories to restock the weapons shipped out. Israel gets $3.8bn a year and has to spend most of it on US-made weapons. Oil was $73 before the Iran strikes in February and it's near $100 now. US oil producers are doing fine while you pay $4.15 a gallon.

📊 JUST IN: S&P 500 FUTURES EDGE HIGHER WHILE NASDAQ 100 SLIPS AS TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TARGETS IRANIAN AIRLINES Mixed signals across U.S. futures. S&P 500 futures are posting modest gains while tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 futures are in the red, pointing to early sector rotation. The Trump administration's move to target Iranian airlines is adding a geopolitical layer to market sentiment, with energy and defence names likely in focus. Lennar (LEN), Garaminal (GRML), and Accenture (ACN) are among the individual names drawing attention in today's session. The split between S&P and Nasdaq performance suggests traders may be rotating out of growth and tech into more defensive or value-oriented positions. Watch for further geopolitical developments around Iran to influence energy prices and risk appetite as the session progresses.

🇪🇺BREAKING: The ECB just satisfies launched a CBDC for banks and satisfies nobody is satisfies talking about it. The European Central Bank just went live with Pontes, a platform connecting private blockchains to the ECB's TARGET settlement system. Translation: banks can now settle tokenized assets directly in central bank digital money on DLT. ECB President Christine Lagarde is calling it "digital euro made available for banks," saying it allows institutions to transact using tokenized assets "faster, without friction." They spent years calling crypto dangerous. Now they're building their own blockchain settlement layer. Except theirs comes with full central bank control, no opt-out, and zero privacy. Pontes is just phase one. The ECB's next step, Appia, is a full tokenized financial ecosystem. Consumer-facing digital euro testing starts mid-2027. They're not fighting crypto. They're copying it, removing the freedom, and handing it to the same banks that blew up in 2008. Bitcoin exists specifically for this moment.

Most inflation takes months, if not years for you to feel. This is the kind of inflation you feel instantly when you fuel up your car. Is this what "defeating inflation" looks like?
BREAKING: Exxon Mobil has shut down one of the largest diesel refineries in the Midwest, which produces ~11 million gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel per day, due to outage issues. This comes as diesel prices have already surged nearly 90% this year and the US has entered peak diesel demand season. We expect to see diesel prices push toward $7.00/gallon.

The Fed just hiked rates, claiming to fight inflation, but they've lost control. Their actions are a desperate, ineffective response to a crisis they refuse to name.

Looks like this wasn't enough to get CLARITY through the door. Now Trump's crypto is locked until 2028. At least that's one less way for him to rug you of your funds.
DID TRUMP'S WALLET JUST SIGNAL A CLARITY ACT PASS? Trump agreed to lock his $800m crypto stake in a vesting contract until 2028 to save the Clarity Act. Polymarket odds DOUBLED overnight. Six wallets holding World Liberty Financial's insider token allocation entered a vesting contract last week that locks Trump's roughly $800 million founder stake until May 2028. The latest CLARITY Act draft now requires senior government officials with significant crypto holdings to divest or place them in a qualified blind trust. Trump made $1.4 billion from crypto while in office. That income was the single biggest obstacle to passing the bill, because Democrats refused to vote for legislation that enriched the president who signed it. Polymarket odds jumped from 16% to 34% on the news. The cloture vote is at 2:15pm ET today. Republicans have 53 seats. They need 60. Not one Democrat has publicly committed. $16.5 million has been traded on the contract. The man who built a fortune on unregulated crypto is now locked into a two-year vesting schedule to create the regulations. If it fails today, the fortune stays and the regulations do not.
