SpaceX is seeking approval to launch Starship up to 456 TIMES a year from Starbase, Texas The FAA has officially started reviewing this massive expansion, which would increase the current launch limit by more than 18 TIMES The plan has two phases: • Phase 1: 100 launches and 200 landings per year • Phase 2: 456 launches and 912 landings per year At full capacity, that's more than ONE Starship launch every day from a single site in Texas Both Super Heavy and Starship are designed for rapid reuse, making this kind of launch frequency possible This is the scale SpaceX needs to deploy Starlink V3 satellites, support NASA's Moon missions, and eventually send humans and massive amounts of cargo to Mars The scale SpaceX is working toward is absolutely extraordinary SpaceX is building a future where launching the world's largest rocket becomes routine

True, this is a very big deal
Morgan Stanley's Adam Jonas in new @SpaceX note: "The part of the SpaceX story that we believe holds the greatest growth potential, and that is being largely ignored/not contemplated by investors, is the Distributed Inference Cloud. Investors are already witnessing some degree of corporate/regulatory/social angst toward data centers. We see SPCX's efforts as instrumental in helping to get the Super Intelligence Economy and the Physical Intelligence Economy on the next leg of growth and economic development. As the 'density' of physical agents increases, we expect incrementally greater intelligence capability of the collective mobile swarm. We ask investors to be prepared to hear about the Distributed Inference Cloud and physical AI swarms in the coming year. From our seat, we think this subject is very close to breaking out in the investor discussion. Gradually… then suddenly." x.com/SawyerMerritt/status/2…

ROBINHOOD CHAIN IS DEAD Is the take I keep seeing all over my timeline right now, and I honestly think it’s a stupid one. Outside of the OGs like Solana, BNB and Ethereum, we haven’t had a new chain break out and capture this much attention since Base, and four months in, Robinhood Chain is already the third-biggest chain by DEX volume over the past month, behind only Solana and Ethereum. Robinhood Chain’s best week was about four times bigger than anything Base did in its first eight months, back when Base was actually doing well, and it got back above its launch high around five months sooner than Base did. New chains move a lot like coins do at launch, where the early attention sends them up and then they pull back to retest the level they broke out from. That retest is exactly where Robinhood Chain’s volume is sitting right now, and it’s the same level Base’s biggest run started from. Trading has slowed down since September, but TVL has kept climbing and just hit a new all-time high this week, which means the capital is sticking around even though the hype has cooled off a bit. If you’re lumping Robinhood Chain in with every other new L2, you’re missing the biggest thing it has going for it, which is a stock brokerage with close to 29 million users, and less than 1% of them are onchain on any given day. With free swaps running until the end of the year and 24/7 stock token trading on the way, that’s a lot of runway for a chain that’s only four months old. CT is an echo chamber. Once takes like ā€œit’s deadā€ and ā€œBase 2.0ā€ get a bit of engagement, you start seeing them everywhere, to the point where they feel like the consensus, but the data doesn’t support that narrative. Ultimately it comes down to what Vlad and the team do from here. He just did an AMA going over his plans for the chain and asking people what they want to see, and there’s talk of a lot more support coming from Robinhood. This is a company that built one of the biggest retail brokerages in the US, and I can’t see them settling for less in crypto.

Starship 40’s return to base
The first Starship to return to its launch site, Ship 40's journey took it across air, space, and sea. Now that it is vertical alongside three other Starships in a Megabay at Starbase, it will provide first-of-its-kind data on a flown Starship heatshield, Raptor engines, avionics, and more.
