if we can’t help but praise what is enjoyable-and if sharing can complete that enjoyment, then we’re naturally evangelistic
I can feel compelled to tell the whole world about my interests: a favorite essay (Programming as Theory Building), a new friend I meet (maja 🙂), the last book I need to reread (Rembrant’s Return of the Prodigal Son), a quote (imagination is not about making strange things settled, but making settled things strange), or the idea of conviviality is because i care too much and want others to share in that joy- or a person (i found myself on my Illich pilgrimage this year, his centenary)
i feel like falling deeply in love can turn you into an evangelist. you’re like guys??? have you heard about this??? it’s incredible. Yes devastating, occasionally, but incredible
somehow despite several thousand years of songs, poems, novels and movies, i still feel true deep love remains wildly underrated. turns out it may actually be the best thing we get to experience and we should all be opening our hearts with far more urgency

have a similar setup with my phone! My app connects to my portable receipt printer via wifi to instantly start a print. Using it while outside is wonderful
Rigged my camera to automatically produce instant prints, via phone (locked in pocket) as BTLE client.
Also has a mode where it only prints when I "star" a photo in the camera's playback interface. So I basically get a "print" button directly on the camera.
