I'm so tired of monotone YouTubers being in video games. Voice actor used to be an actual job, not just industry nepotism, giving paid side projects to their friends. How does being Capcoms corporate spokesperson make you qualified to be a voice actor. Whenever someone is hired for a role not because they have the qualifications, skills or experience but just because they know the boss personally, everyone knows what it is and knows it sucks. Yeah the bosses wife is now head of the finance department, I'm sure she'll do a great job and it isn't just giving her a paycheck because of who she is, not what she can do or that she's best for the job. But in gaming we all have to pretend its great and cheer for them. No aspiring voice actor can get into the industry anymore because when they're not hiring Hollywood actors, they're hiring their friends and fellow industry insiders who aren't even voice actors. Those people training their vocals might as well quit trying to be good at the job and start going to the right insider parties.
