“Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy, but not just; a God who is all love, but not holy; a God who has a heaven for every body, but a hell for none; a God who can allow good and bad to be side by side in time, but will make no distinction between good and broad in eternity. Such a God is an idol of your own, as truly an idol as any snake or crocodile in an Egyptian temple. The hands of your own fancy and sentimentality have made him. He is not the God of the Bible, and beside the God of the Bible there is no God at all.” —J.C. Ryle, English bishop, author, and traveling preacher who ministered to major industrial hubs including Manchester

Jesus revealed what the proverbial "final boss" of Christianity will be. This conversation may be uncomfortable, but pastors no longer have the luxury of avoiding it. To all who have ears, let them hear. @PhilipAMitchell x @TheLiveFreePod

#EasterSunday is not just a celebration. It is the greatest victory in all of history. Jesus conquered the grave. He defeated sin and death forever. The stone was rolled away. The tomb is empty. #HeisRisen! Because of this victory, we are no longer slaves to fear. We have new life, new purpose, and eternal hope. If you believe in this victory, reply ‘He is Risen Indeed!’ Tag one person who needs this hope today. Share this with someone struggling. #Jesus is King — and He lives! #JesusIsKing #HeIsRisen #Easter #Faith

I’m a big guy. I’ve been lifting weights for ten years. I look intimidating, I guess. I was at Planet Fitness doing bench presses. I noticed a kid in the corner. He was maybe 16, really overweight. He was looking around like he was terrified someone was going to laugh at him. He walked over to the dumbbells, picked up the lightest ones, and did a few awkward curls. He stopped, looked in the mirror, and hung his head. He was about to leave. He looked like he was about to quit before he even started. I racked my weights and walked over to him. He flinched when he saw me coming. He thought I was going to make fun of him. 'Hey man,' I said. He looked down. 'I’m leaving, sorry.' 'No,' I said. 'I was just gonna say, your form is a little off. You’re gonna hurt your back.' I picked up a weight. 'Tuck your elbows. Like this. Slow down.' He copied me. 'There you go,' I grinned. 'That’s the muscle working.' We trained together for an hour. I showed him the ropes. At the end, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. 'I almost walked out,' he admitted. 'I felt stupid.' 'We all started somewhere,' I told him. 'I used to be 50 pounds heavier than you. The only bad workout is the one you didn't do.' He’s been my gym partner for six months now. He’s down 40 pounds. Strength isn't about how much you can lift. It’s about lifting others up with you. Anonymous

Acuff is so damn special. He’s up there for sure. Reminds me of Iverson. Whatever it takes, he can do it to get the job done. But here’s the real deal: @RazorbackMBB is LOADED. Brazil. Wagner off the bench. Richmond III. Team to watch in the Tourney.
Best player in the country. No Debate. Darius Acuff Jr. just proved it again. #AcuffPOY

Something I’ve always loved witnessing (and participating in) in the South, especially here in Alabama, is the respect people show for funeral processions. Whenever one comes by, people pull over to the side of the road and stop, just to honor the person who has passed and the family grieving behind them. It may seem like a small thing, but it always gives me chills. In a world that moves so fast, everyone pauses for just a moment out of respect for someone’s life. Even if we didn’t know them, we acknowledge that their life mattered. ❤️ It’s one of those quiet traditions that reminds me how special the South really is. Simple acts of respect, kindness, and honoring one another still mean something here. And it’s one of the many reasons why I truly love living in the South.

My personal belief is that the President, his team, and the Israelis know far better than the press what is going on, and the press is so relentlessly, ruthlessly hostile to the Trump Administration that they're more likely to believe Iranian propaganda than that this is actually going well. As I noted yesterday, the ordinance dropped is on pace to mirror Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom with a combined strike of about 1000 targets a day from the Israelis and Americans. That's pretty consistent. The fact that the national press is barely even covering Homeland Security being shut down by Democrats in a time of war is just another data point. If Obama were bombing Syria while the GOP had Homeland Security shut down, the GOP obstruction would be the primary story every day in the press. But because it is Trump, the press is elevating the doubters, the haters, and the propagandists. The press has a real bias in this.
Anyone else fear that the Commander in Chief isn’t getting the full picture of the war’s impact out of fear by those around him of telling him something he doesn’t want to hear?

🔥NEW: Tennessee woman raises over $267,204 to help an elderly DoorDash driver retire after sharing footage from her doorbell camera Brittany Smith shared a Ring camera video of Richard, her DoorDash driver who recently delivered her Starbucks order, as part of a fundraising effort “It was evident from the video [that] this was a task for him,” she said “He is precious and he is not working because he wants to; he’s working because he has to.” Smith tracked down Richard on social media and learned he drives for DoorDash to help cover monthly expenses, including medication for him and his wife “His wife [was] fired from her job (at no fault of her own), and by the time they pay their monthly expenses ... there is nothing left.” “Let’s help Richard go back into retirement!!” Smith wrote

Honda joins the billion-dollar EV regret club with up to $15.7B down the drain. Add in Stellantis ($26B), Ford ($19.5B), and GM ($6B), and we're talking ~$67B collectively torched because no one wants glorified golf carts. Reality is undefeated.

Update from Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery: :20 min after Sailor Lonnie D. Wayman’s celebration of life service. We were told Lonnie didn’t have any immediate family, but middle Tennessee did right by him, this morning. Moms & Dad‘s, and veterans, and children dressed smartly, and bikers, and businessman, and cowboys, and women in black dresses, and the American Legion and law-enforcement and ever branch of the military… I am pleased and very proud to report Lonnie D. Wayman’s service was well attended.
