Don’t let the worst example of a Christian become your reason for rejecting Christ. People will disappoint you. Some will judge you, hurt you, act hypocritically, or use Scripture as a weapon instead of showing love and grace. But please don’t confuse the failures of people with the character of Jesus. If you’ve been hurt by Christians, I’m genuinely sorry. You deserved compassion, not condemnation. But don’t let someone else’s failure to reflect Jesus keep you from knowing Him for yourself. People may fail you. Jesus is still worth knowing.
