Hello Everyone 📢📢📢 It's upgrade time again. I prepared release v4.1.0 of the terrad blockchain client for $lunc #TerraClassic. This one fixes a major issue - although not security related. Under certain conditions a transaction could be included into the networks mempool but rejected from being included in a block while at the same time the transaction would not be dropped from the mempool either. So, lets call this type of tx a "ghost transaction". These ghost transactions lead to a permanent blocking of it's sender account. The affected account is not able to send transactions anymore. This actually happened to a validator. The validator was jailed. And because he submitted a ghost transaction prior to his jailing even he was not able to unjail the validator anymore. He was stuck for weeks. I was able to help him by providing him direct broadcast access to a validator whose mempool behavior was patched. And with a bit of hacky code and the correct timing we were able to unjail the validator again. v4.1.0 fixes the root cause of these ghost transactions. And it also ships some hardening and documentation fixes. Not a big upgrade. But a sign, that the network is healthy and actively maintained. Exactly. That’s the direction we’re heading. CL8Y DEX is already competing for the top spot on Terra Classic with relatively limited liquidity. The next stage is about building the infrastructure that allows that liquidity to scale safely, CMM-owned leveraged LP, bridge-backed capital with transparent debt accounting, and eventually more automated/on-chain trading activity. Get those foundations right and the potential volume ceiling moves significantly higher. Still a lot to build, but that’s the point, we’re nowhere near the finished product yet. 🚀 A massive evolution to the whitepaper ceramic published a couple of years ago Exciting times ahead 😎
