Nigerians, do not mind Dr Abati. Make sure you set up your own parallel INEC and situation rooms on election day. It is not a crime to have your own; the only crime is when you declare the final results. Nigerians, do not be fooled for the second time. β€” Rufai Oseni, after a heated in-studio exchange on Arise this morning about having a parallel INEC.

Today, I was surrounded by cancer survivors, and the encounter was deeply moving. Their presence reminded me what is at stake in cancer care. Behind every statistic is a Nigerian whose survival should never depend on wealth or the ability to travel abroad. Cancer care should not be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. Nigeria needs at least five fully equipped, specialised cancer centres in each of its six geopolitical zones, alongside stronger prevention, screening, early detection, research and affordable treatment. The goal is simple: no Nigerian should die because care is too far away, diagnosis came too late, or treatment is unaffordable. The survivors reminded me that behind every policy are human lives and the hope of a longer life. Healthcare is not a luxury. Survival should not depend on geography or income. Cancer care should not be a privilege. It should be a right. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

My Visit to the Nigerian Air Force Facility Further to my message yesterday, I visited the Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja today to formally sign the condolence register following the unfortunate aircraft crash. The visit gave me another opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made daily by the men and women of our Armed Forces and other security agencies in the line of duty. These courageous Nigerians put their lives on the line to defend our nation and protect our people. We must never take their service and sacrifice for granted. I extend my deepest condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of those who lost their lives. May God grant eternal rest to the departed and give their families the strength and fortitude to bear this painful loss. May God continue to protect all those who serve our country. -PO

SDP presidency candidate is the only opposition I have seen that is not fighting other opposition, he is fighting the evil and devilish incumbent APC government. Everything he is saying here is actually the fact and what's going to happen if eventually BAT rig his way to the presidency again, Nigerians will see premium shege.

They are now arguing that Azumini proposed seaport cannot handle 5000 tons ship. This is how they spread ignorance to kill Igbo projects. Let's educate them with FACTS: 1. Azumini is NOT a river gutter, it's 19 nautical miles to the Atlantic. The Azumini Blue River joins Imo River which flows 240km directly into the Atlantic through Akwa Ibom. The corridor is just 35km to the sea. With dredging, it becomes a channel β€” same way Onne and Port Harcourt were dredged. 2. 5000 tons is SMALL even barges carry it. Do you know that ordinary river barges in Nigeria already carry 2000-8000 tons daily on the Niger? Calabar Port currently with only 9.5m draft handles 15,000-20,000 ton vessels. So anyone saying Azumini cannot handle 5000 tons doesn't know shipping. The plan is: Dredge to 10-12m depth like Calabar Use feeder vessels and barges to connect to Ibom Deep Sea Port and Onne Cargo moves from big ocean ships at Ibom/Onne to Azumini via barges, that is how 80% of ports work in the world (Rotterdam, Antwerp model). 3. The purpose is NOT to compete with Lekki, but to serve Aba. Aba needs raw materials IN and finished goods OUT. If Azumini handles even 5000-10,000 ton vessels, logistics cost for Aba manufacturers drops by 40-60%. That is the goal not bragging about big ships. 4. They said Onne cannot work, today Onne is Nigeria's most modern port. They said Ibom Deep Sea Port cannot work, construction has started. They always say Igbo projects cannot work. They want us to keep going to Lagos to clear goods and then pay N1.8m per truck to bring it to Onitsha. That suffering is their business. Azumini will work. The feasibility study will prove the dredging requirement, the draft, the cost and the design. Stop listening to people who have never built a jetty arguing about tonnage. SHARE to kill this propaganda. FOLLOW Eastern Reporters we give you facts, not lies. Image: Quality improved by Eastern Reporters

Building a Better Nigeria Through Service. Yesterday in Lagos, I attended a dinner organised for Lagos NDC candidates and hosted by the Lagos Obidient Movement. I used the occasion to remind the candidates that seeking public office is not about titles, positions, or the privileges associated with them. It is about accepting the responsibility to serve and committing ourselves to building a better Nigeria. Having witnessed the suffering and hardship that our people continue to endure, we must remain conscious of the tremendous responsibility placed in our hands. Nigerians deserve leaders who are accessible, actively engaged, accountable, and willing to lead by example. Our politics must establish a standard for others to follow. It must therefore be founded on competence, character, capacity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to the common good. A better Nigeria is within reach, but achieving it requires leaders who are prepared to lead by example and remain accessible. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

*BREAKING* *JARRETT TENEBE'S APC CARRIES OUT ITS THREAT TO SHOOT ADC MEMBERS IN IGUEBEN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA* The Igueben Local Government Chairman has just led a team of gun totetting assailants to attack the entourage of Kenneth Imasuangbon and the Edo Central ADC Senatorial candidate, Hon Herbeta Okonofua. The hoodlum shot fatally at a young man, Jerry Oliha, from ADC ward 6, at the premises of the Enogie of Igueben. The young man has been rushed to the Irrua Specialist Hospital , where doctors are battling to save his life. This shooting is the third time the entourage was shot at today. First at ward 4, and then, at ward 5, of the Local Government Area. Reports confirm that this is the climax of the series of violent attacks against ADC members and infrastructure that the APC has recently vowed Jarrett Tenebe's threat to unleash AK 47 on Edo people was after all premeditated. Attacks have been reported at Etsako East, Owan West and Owan East, before this one in Irrua. In each of the cases, they have been coordinated by the Local Government Chairmen of those places on the strength of Jarrett Tenebe. Bullets have been recovered at the scene of the attack and handed over to the police and the Enogie. Canopies, chairs, musical instruments worth millions of naira were all destroyed at the palace premises. ADC will come out with a comprehensive report on this unfortunate policy of violence of the APC shortly. The DPO of the Igueben Local Government Area has been informed and involved in the unfortunate incident. Chris Ojeikere State Publicity Secretary
