agentic payments and the use cases around them have been a hot topic. they haven’t found strong market fit so far, but we think they’re one of the big unlocks for new experiences and products in the space, being right ahead of the real world adoption curve excited about the partnership with @crossmint on this. we’re building the experience together inside the Pulsar app, guided by the agent, with Crossmint’s infrastructure supporting our product UX, agentic stack and fintech layer we’re working on 1-click purchasing flows, agent harnesses and 2-factor verification on top of agentic payments, plus an interactive experience with notifications, alerts and recommendations from the agentic stack around preferential FX rates, trading and more we’re also linking the gamification and rewards hub to all of this, which should make things a bit more fun!

crypto is going through its venture --> liquid transition as an investible asset class. most infra has been built, most chains we need exist. there is less of a need for massive vc rounds for infra slop and most funding is now focused on the app layer. this layer needs less vc capital in general and is suited for smaller funds and angels. mega-vc's no longer needed or desired. crypto vcs starting to diversify into other asset classes is a healthy and natural consequence of this. there are other industries that are only venture investable at this stage, where as crypto is no longer this way. we are slowly unfucking the tokens and moving towards a much healthier liquid market. high fdvs have been sent to hades, investor skepticism around non-rev protocols has only gotten louder and more detrimental to those tokens, and real, sustainable revenue generating protocols are emerging and being rewarded. it's an exciting time to be a liquid crypto investor. crypto is still the best technology in the world to move and trade assets and the next few years will solidify this. everything is coming onchain. strap in, buckle up, hold onto your butts, lock the fuck in. we're making crypto cool again.

The cherry on top. Normally, if a round oversubscribes you simply get shrunk pro rata and are left disappointed when you’re only filled on a smaller allocation. Commitment credits track the amount you pledge to the round, not your final allocation. If you commit $50k, and the round shrinks you to $10k, you’ll still get the full in-app benefits of the $50k in credits. Extremely excited to see the game theory of this play out as the round builds.

If you're looking for a weekend project, how about training your own text-to-speech model from scratch on your own GPU, and then running it on any device's CPU? We just open-sourced the entire Pocket TTS training stack: data pipeline, recipes, and evals. It learns pretty damn fast: ~15k steps: babbling starts turning into words ~50k steps: it reads anything you type (WER under 1%) ~200k steps: the voice stops sounding synthetic On a beefy consumer GPU, that's a week of training. On eight H100s: 10-20 hours. A TTS training run will cost you less than $200 if you rent your hardware, and an order of magnitude less if you just pay for power. Some things we'd love to see people try: - Train it in your own language (a few hundred hours of speech gets you surprisingly far). - Add new features to Pocket TTS (Emotion tags? Make it sing?). - Beat us at our own game: make it faster and smaller. Show us what you build! We'll highlight the best models and new languages for the whole community to enjoy. Pocket TTS has already found many use cases, from reading for people with visual impairments to making NPCs in video games talk, and we're sure there's much more to do with it!
