Extremely blessed to join my 2 oldest brothers in receiving the honor of Mr Kansas Basketball by the KBCA!
Could not have been achieved without my amazing coaches, teammates, and especially my family! @benpyle24 @drew3ball @macbasketball1 @maccoachk
Mr. Kansas Basketball x3: Brothers Drew Pyle (2016), Ben Pyle (2018) & Gabe Pyle (2025) have all been named Mr. Kansas Basketball by the KBCA with Gabe’s recent nod. The award honors the states top senior basketball player in Kansas from the KBCA. Gabe was also the Sports in Kansas All-Classes Player of the Year this season. Incredible for this to happen to one family three times. To add to that, sister Grace was the Sports in Kansas 2020 5A Player of the Year and just finished an All-American career at Pittsburg State. McPherson, a legendary program in Kansas, has had nine Mr. Kansas Basketball Award Winners. In addition to the three Pyles, they’ve also had Christian Ulsaker, Jordan Fithian, Aubrey Bruner, Ryan Herrs, Brian Henson, & Steve Henson since the award began in 1983. The girls have had three Miss Kansas Basketball winners in Ashley Sweat, Katelyn Loecker, & Taylor Robertson. #sportsinkansas

Sports in Kansas 2025 All-Classes & 4A Boys 🏀 Player of the Year: Gabe Pyle of McPherson.
Pyle, a 6-foot-6 160-pound senior or as we call him Mr. Clutch, repeats as the Sports in Kansas 4A Player of the Year after leading the Bullpups to back to back titles including two game winning shots in the first two rounds of the 2025 state tournament in Salina. Pyle also picks up the all class player of the year from SIK. He becomes the third family member to do so for an all class nod as two of his older brothers (Ben & Drew) were Mr. Kansas Basketball. His sister Grace who just finished up at the Final Four for Pittsburg State was also a 5A Player of the Year from Sports in Kansas but has had the best collegiate career of any sibling so far becoming an All-American this season. Gabe made a name for himself at Mac under head coach Kurt Kinnamon and leading them to titles number seven and eight under Kinnamon. Pyle had a big senior year with 21.0ppg 5.2rpg 3.2 spg 2.3 apg 1.6 bpg. In his career: 1186 points(5th all time in McPherson), 2nd all time in steals with 190, Blocks in career 78(5th all time). If you know anything about McPherson basketball, to even be on a list is legendary. When we asked about the season. “Unreal. A perfect ending to a fantastic and hard fought season. Magical. Absolutely honored.” Pyle told Chet Kuplen of Sports in Kansas earlier this week. Despite all of his sucess we feel Pyle is a major sleeper and flying under the radar to college basketball programs. #sportsinkansas
