Most people think the future is collapsing. I study how progress actually happens.

Connecticut, USA
Yesterday's Bitcoin Treasuries Conference was a home run. What distinguished it was the breadth of the conversation. Robbert Mitchnick on institutional Bitcoin adoption. Matt Cole and others on treasury strategy and digital credit. Gui Gomes on the importance of management delivering Bitcoin per share. Dan Held and Jeff Garzik on quantum risk and Bitcoin's security. And Rob Hamilton of AnchorWatch on a subject that deserves more attention: making Bitcoin custody both secure, insurable and affordable. The discussions continued well beyond the stage, with a high-end institutional audience seeking to understand the issues. It was a great way to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. The big takeaway: Bitcoin treasury companies are evolving from a simple accumulation strategy into a much more sophisticated financial ecosystem. Capital allocation, credit, custody, emerging new products, and management execution will increasingly distinguish the winners from the rest. Congratulations to @TimKotzman, @ejuline, @countbtc, @pete_rizzo_, and the rest of the awesome team for bringing together such an impressive group of people and such outstanding content.

Big companies have more money to spend on AI. But “you can move as fast as your willpower" in a small company. @ramahluwalia explains why AI could dramatically change the competitive advantage of being small.

A new industry is being born. I sat down with @TimKotzman to discuss Bitcoin treasury companies, the rise of digital credit, Strategy and Strive, and what investors may still be missing. Tim has built a unique seat at the intersection of Bitcoin, public markets, and media. The full conversation is now available on the Exploring Prosperity YouTube channel.

Bitcoin is +19.6% in 5 days. MSTR is now only worth the Bitcoin on its balance sheet. 0% premium for a management team that has been learning, refining and rebuilding towards its mission to increase Bitcoin per share. Interesting.

Thanks for coming on Exploring Prosperity, Tim. I really enjoyed turning the tables after you interviewed me last week. Two terrific conversations about an industry being born and I learned a lot from both.

Nearly half of occupation-specific ChatGPT use involves tasks associated with a different occupation according to their research. AI may dissolve job descriptions before it eliminates jobs. The economic unit being disrupted isn’t just the worker. It’s the boundary between “my job” and “someone else’s.”

Why are lawyers very vulnerable to AI? Stephen Lofchie gives a remarkably simple answer: much of what lawyers produce is words on a page — and AI is already very good at reading, synthesizing and writing.

Live long and die fast should be the objective, right? But medical progress is resulting in the opposite. Since 1990, it has added 9 years to global life expectancy. It only added only 7 healthy ones. The gap is real, it's growing, and it's widest in the United States. Progress and better health are not the same claim. Full report: thelancet.com/journals/lanpu…

So don’t buy them. I runs a lot deeper than that and you know it. The market will decide what it wants regardless of what you think people should want. If they’re bad products, they will die as they should if that’s the case.

The market doesn't reward innovation. It rewards solving problems. @ColeMacro argues that actively reducing volatility is solving a problem investors actually care about in my conversation with him and @phongle.

Strategy has been one of the largest buyers of Bitcoin over the past four years. Yet it is still small relative to the Bitcoin market. Bitcoin doesn't depend on any single company for its success. @phongle @ColeMacro

Markets don't just test companies. They test ideas. After one of the most turbulent periods yet for Bitcoin Treasury Companies, I sat down with Strategy CEO @phongle and Strive CEO @ColeMacro to discuss what the market taught them—and where they believe financial innovation goes from here.

"AI driving 28,000 job losses per month in tech and finance." The underlying data: - Tech and finance employment declined in the latest data. Bloomberg supplied the cause. Data and narratives are different things. That's precisely why efforts like @DigEconLab's new AI Economic Indicators project matter.

We are approaching a world where seeing is no longer believing. @LynAldenContact argues that technology first strengthened our shared reality through radio and television, but AI is now pushing us in the opposite direction. The next great technological challenge may not be creating intelligence, but preserving trust. Full interview here: piped.video/watch?v=BSzFhnTA…

The Pessimism Tax Michigan Consumer sentiment recently fell to levels associated with deep economic distress. At the same time, - the economy added 172,000 jobs in May. - Retail sales in May grew 4.9% year over year. - ISM Manufacturing PMI was 54.0 in May 2026 (expansion >50), up from 52.7 in April — the fifth straight month of growth. - 1Q26 corporate earnings reported in 2Q26 surged 27%, ahead of expected 12-15%. That gap deserves attention.

Amy Oldenburg has one of the more unusual perspectives in digital assets. She spent years building relationships in crypto before becoming Morgan Stanley's Head of Digital Asset Strategy. Her description of crypto's evolution from "cottage industry" to institutional asset class was fascinating.

The people who shape the future are not always the inventors. Sometimes they are the translators. The individuals who spend years building expertise, relationships, and credibility before institutions realize they need them. My latest essay explores that hidden phase of progress through a conversation with Morgan Stanley's Head of Digital Asset Strategy, Amy Oldenburg.

Modern finance still treats central banks as politically independent institutions. @dgt10011 argues that assumption is breaking down. As geopolitical competition intensifies, he believes the Fed and Treasury will increasingly operate together as instruments of national strategy rather than separate powers.

People could notice that rotary telephones were slow (especially the 9 and the 0), but no individual had the ability to improve the system. Innovation belonged to the telephone company. AI may begin changing that relationship across the entire economy. Millions of small frustrations and inefficiencies that were once too small to matter economically may suddenly become viable businesses or income streams. That could expand human economic independence far more than most current AI discussions recognize.

Just a few years ago, the idea of nations mining Bitcoin on their sovereign balance sheets would have sounded absurd. Now countries with excess energy and heavy debt burdens are actively doing it. In my conversation with @matthew_sigel, we discussed why this trend is accelerating.

For context, here is Pew's global survey on how people feel about AI in daily life.
18
Pew’s latest global survey shows that 50% of Americans are more concerned than excited about the rise of AI in daily life. Before fearing what AI may become, it helps to understand what it actually is. As Invenium's Head of AI @EDMsnob explains, these systems are not “thinking” machines, but next-token predictors that simulate thought through language. Understanding that distinction is essential to separating signal from hype.

[2/7] Every transformative technology in history has faced a distribution ceiling. Before the internet, scale meant physical travel — trucks, stores, salespeople. You could build something extraordinary and still spend decades getting it to people. Distribution was the constraint, not capability. h/t @WalkMeInc
