Cornell Seven: Why Are Koreans on Trial Online? Accountability for individuals. Collective blame for Koreans? The Mad Corean, BFC, and Dr. Shinjimunsa discuss the Cornell Seven allegations, the online backlash, and how a case at an American university became an argument about Korea. Where does accountability end and scapegoating begin? Due to the topic being filthy in itself, this episode is uncensored. Watch the full conversation on Eastern Bound below.

Korea has its problems but I 100% agree that โ€œKorea = debt hellโ€ from Americans is cope. Buddy we need a $100k degree just to a buy a $40k car just to GET TO WORK in this country. Save me the bs, weโ€™re one the same but with better work hours
The Korean Dystopia Narrative is such a lucrative export for this country. People overseas lap it up, it provides western copium, & it feeds into all sorts of unconscious biases; meanwhile Koreans just drink ice americano and get on with life like normal people in a safe country.

What happens when Ukraine alienates the people who supported it? Dr. Shinjimunsa argues that Ukraineโ€™s own behavior is fueling Ukraine fatigue in countries that have backed it. Support depends on goodwill. How long can Kyiv afford to test it?

The President of South Korea is in no position to threaten anyone, especially the President of Ukraine. Let me remind you that the very term โ€œmartial lawโ€ scares Koreans more than the real prospect of military action or provocations from North Korea. So, no offense, but the President of South Korea should think carefully about whom he is speaking to and what he is saying. Ukraine may one day prove to be one of South Koreaโ€™s few real allies if the country comes under attack. As todayโ€™s realities clearly show, what matters most in a crisis is having genuine allies who will actually stand by you, rather than allies who exist only on paper.

โ€œIf I could turn back time, I would want to erase or revise โ€˜Black Korea.โ€™โ€ Famous American rapper Ice Cube (real name Oโ€™Shea Jackson, 49) told The Dong-A Ilbo that he regrets making a song that caused pain to Korean Americans. This is the first time Cube has directly expressed these sentiments to a Korean media outlet. Cube met with a reporter backstage before performing at the Ultra Music Festival Korea, held on the 10th at Seoulโ€™s Jamsil Olympic Stadium. It was his first visit to Korea. Asked about his original intent in writing โ€œBlack Koreaโ€ and how he views the song today, Cube said: โ€œMy original intention was to realistically portray the tensions that arose when Korean-owned stores moved into Black neighborhoods. But looking back, I could have chosen another way to address it without insulting Asians. It was a failed song.โ€ 2018-06-12 donga.com/news/article/all/2โ€ฆ
'Black Korea' by @icecube a song many don't know of now but it added to the outright resentment of Koreans in South LA/South Central. "so pay respect to the black fist or we'll burn your store, right down to a crisp." 18 year old me listening to this song "Fuck you Cube, alright, let's go then, fake ass "gangster". I know your history. youtu.be/GI8BEITVSAI?si=kn-Pโ€ฆ

While European leaders prioritize their national interests, they want South Korea to prioritize ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บinterests over its own. Yoon was such a leader, serving ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต interests, even when it harmed his own country. Thatโ€™s why they love Yoon, even though he undermined ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ทdemocracy.
I ACCUSE PUTIN. @KremlinRussia Yoon Suk Yeol was one of Asiaโ€™s clearest supporters of Ukraine. His government backed Kyiv with aid, deepened security cooperation with the US and Japan, and openly confronted the growing Russiaโ€“North Korea military partnership. Moscow had every strategic reason to want a weaker Yoon presidency. But the formal reason for Yoonโ€™s downfall was his own disastrous martial-law decision. On 3 December 2024 he declared emergency martial law; parliament rejected it, and on 14 December he was impeached. On 4 April 2025 the Constitutional Court unanimously removed him from office, ruling that his actions violated his constitutional duties and improperly used military force against parliament. My accusation is therefore about the combination of both factors: Yoonโ€™s strongly pro-Ukrainian geopolitical course made him an adversary of Moscow, while the domestic martial-law crisis created the opportunity for his removal. Did Moscow or Pyongyang exploit that crisis? Did Russian or North Korean influence operations amplify the campaign against Yoon? Did covert networks help turn a domestic constitutional crisis into the downfall of a president Putin had every reason to dislike? These questions deserve investigation. I accuse Putin of seeking the downfall of the pro-Ukrainian President Yoon โ€” but evidence of a secret Russian operation has not yet been publicly established. FOLLOW THE MONEY. FOLLOW THE NETWORKS.
