Lots of people don't understand that this isn't just the perfect representation of the Hawkeyes. This is what our entire state is all about.
A view of the Hawkeye Wave that puts it all into perspective. (via TT/JamieSchallock)

This is by design.
You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese. But anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American.

I see this dude in public and that's exactly what I think he is.
There鈥檚 no way you see this veteran in public and think he鈥檚 a badass sniper with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.馃馃嚭馃嚫

Republicans and Democrats both do dumb shit like this. Counterfeits are easily spotted by those with even basic knowledge of firearms and firearm safety.
I have to say it, this is cringe AF. Clearly she doesn't know how to use the weapon she's been handed as a prop. She could have simply stood next to the officers to make her statement, vs. acting like she's "rolling" into a gunfight with these guys.

They all deserve each other. Literally everyone is getting what they want. It's a tragedy, and you're all psychos.
They murdered a licensed nurse with no criminal history because he was trying to protect his community.

Having a safer clientele (less risk) is bearish for insurance companies? No. 1/2 the premiums and 1/10 of the accidents is very bullish.
Is this not insanely bearish for Lemonade / car insurance companies? They won't be able to monetize car insurance, assuming progress happens on self-driving

Minnesota woman put herself in a politically charged situation and interfered with an official legal action. She accelerated her car in a way that could be reasonably be interpreted as aggression. And yet I think we need to raise the bar for what catches a death sentence.

Ill people go to doctor. Doctor recommends taking multivitamin. Healthy people don't go to doctor. Don't take multivitamins. People that don't understand correlation go crazy.
Major Study Finds Multivitamin Users Die Sooner This wasn鈥檛 supposed to happen. People who took multivitamins had healthier lifestyles鈥攅xercised more and smoked less. Yet despite all that, they died sooner. These overlooked factors could explain why. 馃У

As a religious person, I have the same gripe. Scientific findings are often considered adversarial. In the 80s I remember people denying the big bang because they viewed it as anti-creation.
I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world. - Richard Dawkins

Lol. I'm not a fan.... of either the poster or the politician..... But this is excellent bait.
BREAKING: Zohran Mamdani is expected to require ALL New York Elementary school students to learn Arabic numerals. As a Jewish American I still support this 100%

People impose their beliefs on others all the time. Usually it's through an election process and lawmakers. A person's beliefs can be formed in a variety of ways and yes, they have a right to impose their morality on you, for as long as the law is considered morality.

As long as the majority of people think an action is immoral, it will stay illegal. As society's morality changes, so do the laws, (see recreational marijuana use) Even murder is justified by the fringe (e.g. St. Luigi). But society will still impose their morality on him.

"Prove me wrong" in an argument either for or against God always seemed silly to me. We've been at this long enough that if proof were incontrovertible either way, the discussion would be over.
God was invented by man. Prove me wrong without using the Bible.
