I liked Halo Infinite. I played it a ton and not even I can come up with takes like these
343 were never the problem, they objectively made amazing games. The problem is and will always be the babies in the halo fan base that want nothing other than a halo 2 cope paste every release. This won't happen so they'll continue to cry and moan no matter who makes halo.

Rebooting Halo all the way to the end of Halo 3 is a good move imo
- I hated that they turned Cortana evil in Halo 5 right after having the emotional Cortana story in Halo 4
- I liked The Weapon, but I preferred the relationship Chief had with Cortana, and I hope they restore that
- The story between Halo 4, Halo 5, and Infinite is all over the place and super disjointed
- I hated the new characters like Locke
- I hated what they did with Master Chief in Halo 5
- Halo 1-3 was a military-focused franchise with strong Christian undertones....bring that back and remove all the imperialism-bad shit
- Halo should work as a videogame first.....I hate that a lot of the lore post Halo 3 is locked behind books, as opposed to being clearly narrated in the games
- I never really understood why 343 deviated from the Covenant/Flood to focus so intently on the Brutes....that was never really clear to me (and NO, I DONT WANT TO READ THE SHITTY BOOKS IF THE GAMES AREN'T EVEN THAT GOOD TO BEGIN WITH)
Overrall, the lore and narratives post Halo 3 are not good or consistent enough to warrant saving. I am fine with a retconn and just focus on getting Halo right again
