We've lost Mike Preston aka Pappagallo. Preston, born as Jack Davis in the UK, relocated to Australia and began his TV and film career. To us he was Pappagallo in Mad Max 2. A CEO of an oil company trying to find a better life beyond vermin on machines. He was 93. Rest In Peace.

With great sadness I regret to inform you that Kjell Nilsson who played The Lord Humungus has passed away. Kjell lived a colorful life on his own terms, with unwavering conviction, an adventurous heart, and a spirit that refused to surrender. He was 76 years old. Rest in Peace.

The entirety of Furiosa also exists as Unreal Engine animation, but I doubt we'll ever get to see that version of the film.

Next time you watch this scene know that Virginia Hey was aiming a real loaded weapon directly at Mel's head. It was a 40lb pull-back compound bow with a real arrow that could've killed him. They gave her a rubber string in some shots only because she was tired of pulling it back

"The Lone Wolf" Machine from MM2 as seen in MM3 where it was simply called 'Buggy #12'. It had a much more prominent role in MM2, before they changed the ending of that film. Max was supposed to use it to chase down Wez. Instead it got to drive again in the third film.

Guillermo del Toro said he would protect Mad Max 2 from a nuclear explosion with his body. He's our guy!

Crazy how close the Anime version of #furiosa (2008) was to the final, live action film.

The chrome Rig from Furiosa was built using some parts from the black rig from Fury Road. Most notably: the rear tanker was entirely repurposed. There is much more to this story

Corpus Collosus, wildly overlooked character with a lot of trivia. Originally he was going to be murdered by the milkers. His chest scar was an enhanced version of his actual open heart surgery scar. His oxygen tank was not a prop, he had to remind people he needed refills.

Beyond Thunderdome gets a lot of flak for being too family friendly, but the filming of that movie was pretty wild. See these two? They were using Bartertown's 'brothel' (those panel vans built into a wall) for real when the cameras weren't rolling.

The couple were Joy Dobson, a bodybuilder/musician/powerlifter and her husband Helmut. She was also doing nude shows in Sydney at the time and clearly they were having a good time on the set of MMBT as well.

Something rare and 'incredible' has been found regarding the first Mad Max. Additional footage? Alternate version? Who knows really, but color me intrigued.

Unfortunately, we've lost two Mad Max legends over the weekend Dennis Williams - driver of Mack trucks in MM2 & 3. He wasn't even a stunt driver and pulled off the iconic tanker crash in MM2 in one take. Max Worrall - chief constructor of Bartertown, he brought us Thunderdome RIP
