I have directed a new Frigate class as part of @POTUS Golden Fleet. Built on a proven American design, in American shipyards, with an American supply chain, this effort is focused on one outcome: delivering combat power to the Fleet fast.

Another big announcement from @SECNAV . Kudos to @CMC_MarineCorps who has fought for LSM for his past 3 assignments. And pay attention to @USNavyCNO remarks on producibility, maintainability, affordability … I hope this proves to be a positive model for programs going forward.

I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office. Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy. Trump and Vance appear to be completely aligned with Putin, the invader whose aim has been to conquer Ukraine. NEW: Defense Secretary Hegseth has ordered senior leaders at the Pentagon to develop plans for cutting 8 percent from the defense budget in each of the next five years, according to a memo obtained by The Washington Post and officials familiar with the matter.
