"Disability activists" on the left are caught in a bind, because "disability activism" is awkwardly tacked onto Marxism. The "ethics of care" are at odds with "liberation" in really obvious ways. There's a reason this ends up mostly wailing women.

I honestly think the reason disability activists trigger so much disdain is because their calls for more solidarity are a fundamentally leftwing critique, and many on the left absolutely cannot handle (or even fathom) being criticized from the left.
