I hate to say this, but I did not enjoy AC8. Right out the gate it waterboards you with more cutscenes than a Kojima game, Unreal Engine 5 makes it look worse than AC7, and when you finally get to play the planes handle super sluggishly. The F-18 handles like a C-130.

He's 100% correct. 343i or "Halo Studios" wasn't cut because they failed. The move was an entirely shareholder short term gain move.
Every title they've ever released was a success and an amazing game. In fact, Halo 4, Halo 5, and Halo Infinite as a trio of campaigns are collectively superior campaigns compared to Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Reach.
Nostalgia doesn't have a stranglehold on me. I know exactly what I played and what the better campaign was every time. Better sandbox additions, far superior gameplay feel and design, better storytelling, especially how they handled key characters. And to me a far better utilization of the extended Halo Universe as well as a far more exciting and better executed story premise.
