The withdrawal of the opportunity to apply for direct funding through the Creative Scotland Open Fund for Individuals will deprive the majority of playwrights in Scotland the means to work and destroys any sense that their work is valued by those who fund our culture.

We are horrified at the news that @CreativeScots is closing the Open Fund for Individuals and ask that @scotgov keeps its previous commitments so that this decision can be reversed. Without individual artists making work, there is no arts sector.
